This is hilarious. I am one of two people nominated for best host, and the other person is Louis Theroux. It's done by public vote. Vote for me! We can do this!

Did you know you can leave audience reviews on the Edfringe website? (Honestly, I didn't until surprisingly late on!) Anyway, here's what people have been saying about my show, Cyril. If you're in Edinburgh and haven't caught it yet, it's on at 1pm every day in the Gilded Balloon Patter House.

A fantastic show, more people should know about this!

Me and my three sons (11-16 years old) went to see this today. It was clever, funny, heartfelt and superbly engaging and interesting. A real treat, would highly recommend.

A really wholesome, funny and well put together show. Would really recommend. In background, image of Gareth Gwynn dressed as a farmer, checking his shoe for some sort of shit.

A perfect blend of comedy and storytelling... entertaining and heartfelt and it deserves to sell out.

A family story of a complex multi-faceted individual told with pace and wit.

A well crafted, funny and at times incredible story which spans the past 100 years. Lots for people of all generations to relate to. In background, image of Gareth Gwynn dressed as a farmer, checking his shoe for some sort of shit.

Very funny from start to finish.

History mixed with humour, poetry and an appreciation for rural life. Gareth Gwynn gave a fantastic show.

Delightful and wholesome, and completely hilarious with it. A compelling story with genuine emotional weight, wrapped up in some great jokes. In background, image of Gareth Gwynn dressed as a farmer, checking his shoe for some sort of shit.

Warm and wonderfully funny storytelling. Daft and self deprecating but also poignant and moving.

It felt like a warm Welsh hug with plenty of laughs along the way - I could have listened for hours more.

This show was lovely. Very funny and charming, Gareth is a wonderful storyteller and what a story to tell.

I don't have the energy to write a limerick for every show this year but I still want to write something. So, I'm going to try to write 6 words, 3 pairs of 2, for each show. If I didn't love the show I would say nothing, they're all brilliant if I wrote anything. #EdFringe

I've done one of those online interviews about my EdFringe show and I'm now thinking this is a better description of the show than the one that ended up in the brochure.
Screenshot from website. A Q&A interview format.

Q3: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?

Cyril Gwynn was a sailor, farmer and poet. At different times in his life he could be in the living room entertaining people with satirical poems he’d written, in the kitchen engaging in high-level political debate or in the garden beating the shit out of someone. Complex guy.
