One of our pots has one. It’s made from dishcloth cotton yarn. What a lovely way to scent your home. #GardenStuff

Once transported to the hive the bees regurgitate water which is used to regulate hive temperature and to mix with pollen or crystallised honey for feeding 🐝 larvae

#gardenstuff my favourite rose it's a striking colour, thornless and forgiving. Hardy geranium next year I would love to add Roxanne to the garden it's a blue and recommended for pollinators. A poppy and a patch of herb Robert

Turn the other way and there is the newly started herb garden. Oh and the sheds. The hedge you see is jasmine and shields the back garden from view. #gardenstuff it is a bone of contention between the gardener and the help who keeps cutting it to keep it neat and therefore loses the flowers

The house is a corner plot so we have in essence three gardens. This is the 'side' garden. It is the wildest bit it has a garden pond and lots of cover for the invertebrates. This is the view towards the road that runs by our house. #gardenstuff

This is a nice little spot for pollinators. The columbine is just going over the everlasting sweet pea and lavender will take up the mantle #gardenstuff

Some views from our garden. I should say we like it a bit wild, it's predominantly a wildlife garden although this year we are trying out a few crops. So apologies if it's not your style. #gardenstuff the box hedge is ill and will be removed as soon as the birds have finished with the catapilars

Two rose bushes looking super in the 🌞 today and the scent of them on the breeze is lovely. The pink one is next to the front door and is about 5 or 6 years old the white one in a bed opposite the front door and is probably 30 years old. #gardenstuff

Today's gardening tip: make your own strawberry tower out of different sized pots. A cane through the centre helps to keep the structure stable ( I always pop something on top of the cane to prevent any unfortunate mishaps.) It's a good way to maximise space. #gardenstuff

The first photo will damn me as a bad gardener. It a patch to be cleared but the nettles are flowering and the bees are giving them some love, so I don't mind leaving it a while for my best pals 🐝 to utilise I'll clear it in time #gardenstuff a DIY strawberry tower plants coming into flower

We like a yearly cycle at Bendor Towers. The jersey royal season, the return of swifts and these little very hungry Caterpillars turning up in spring to begin their magical metamorphose into Cinnabar moths. #gardenstuff

A solution to the overcrowded windowsills when starting seeds off indoors. Currently I only have Everlasting Sweet pea on the go, looking forward to seeing it filled Show rack from B&M Bargins

This is so funny. I looked him up and saw that he wrote the Expert books and thought I’ve got some of those. I hadn’t even picked up on the authors name. 😆 They are great books.

So the brief for the wreaths at Bendor Towers is that they should be properly recyclable and where possible made from foraged material. Normally it’s a more traditional round with the base formed from withys. This year a bit different, the base is a potato #gardenstuff

Congratulations to Avi’s Mama for growing some Narcissus tazetta (Paperwhite) bulbs. What lovely Christmas decor they make. The first flower and a bud already. Also #gardenstuff has a handout for that should anyone else like to give it a go in the future. Well done Mama very proud of you.
