Android 17 introduces a local MCP equivalent called AppFunctions. Similar to how a MCP server declares tools that be used by agents, an AppFunction exposes app capabilities to AI agents like Gemini.

Most app issues aren’t hard to fix. Figuring out what happened is. With @measure.sh, all signals live in one timeline. Now with MCP, just ask “why did this crash?” and get the answer. No tab switching. More shipping. Measure is now generally available- measure.sh #AndroidDev #iOSDev
