PHEWWWW after holding our open VA casting call for 1 week, we received submissions from 142 different people, corresponding to 336 different character auditions! Interestingly, with an almost exact 50:50 split between amateurs and professionals 😱 #indiedev #indiegames #visualnovel #indiegamedev

Now that the landing page is up on the Steam store (and we have a lil cinematic trailer I'll be sharing soon) today is about 1) sorting through the 86 VA auditions we've had (in 3 days!!! It'll still be open for at least another 4 🫣) and 2) appointing a couple more server mods #indiedev #indiegames

Oh, and while we're at it, someone let their cat audition (in case I needed a cat purring for the game). That was cute. It might indeed come in handy #indiedev #indiegames #gamedev #visualnovels

The other exciting thing about today is that we officially called it a wrap on the first VA recording session for one of our characters! Courtesy of our developer/designer-hybrid (and acting VA director, I guess) in California. It's all coming together 😍 #indiedev #indiegames #visualnovels

Today was a freelance work day so I only had time to work on L&FG stuff in the evening. Now we're at 1100+ Discord members, I created an open application for new server mods, and started to comb through some of our VA auditions (I got through about half of the 46 we've already received 🥸) #indiedev

Yippee!!! Went to bed after celebrating reaching 900 members of our L&FG Discord server with the chat and then woke up to 1000+ members!!! I can't believe how fast this is growing! #indiegames #indiedev #narrativegames #communitygrowth

Today I also wanted to share some particular UGC from our Discord server - three members made some EXCEPTIONALLY insightful choices of Pokemon team for each of our three romanceable characters??? Did I mention the game isn't even released yet?! #narrativegames #romancegames #indiegames #indiedev

Indie game dev update (I'm going to try logging my progress here now): we set up a Steamworks account yesterday and it was approved today. Currently filling out the Steam page front so we have a landing page and hopefully score some wishlists :) #indiegames #indiedev #narrativegames

We reached over 800 members of our indie game's Discord community within 10 days of it going live!! We've already got OCs, fanart and memes which is just the nicest thing for any developer to see of their game-in-development 😭 #indiegames #indiedev #narrativegames #communitygrowth #gamesmarketing

Hey Bluesky! We're making a Wild West romance-mystery game called Love & Fool's Gold and we thought we'd share some stuff about it 🤠
