Playing @middleearth.quest reminds me of #PBM and #PBeM (play-by-mail and play-by-email) where there's a big time factor to consider before it's your turn again. It's very casual as far as time alloted is concerned. But serious when it's your turn. I wonder how many still remembers PBM and PBeM. 😆

From my experience, it also minimizes getting a 0 roll which triggers dropping your current item. Of course, it doesn't mean you won't get a 0, I lost a +2 Fortune item eventually. 😅 Although, I'm curious if Fortune can attract the One Ring. Maybe there's a negative Fortune item instead?

It will eventually die. Mine was like that for two to three years, and then it gave up. First it accumulated bad sectors it can't detect. Then finally, the partition got deleted and unrecoverable. I'm not sure why it happens and how to fix it. It just came and go. I think there's an update

Ahha! I got in reversed then. In my mind, the first human civilization after they stepped from the Mists was Orr, then from Orr it split to Ascanon and Cantha. So, it's Cantha first before Orr. That makes sense, the Mists is closer to Cantha.

More for #GuildWars3 - Bring back the clan/surname system of #GuildWars. It makes it easy to know who's who in the game when we switch characters. - Addons. We need this a decade ago. And build it using #Lua. - Use the entire Planet Tyria! Don't give us another 20% only playable world map.

Or, a Ranger that knows a portal spell. Or, a spellcaster who can wear heavy armour because they learned to wear it. Skills-based is superior. Classes are obsolete and very restricting.

the specs system from #GuildWars2 but add secondary classes like in #GuildWars. Or better yet, get rid of the class system entirely. Make it a pure skills-based system. Our choice of skills is what makes our character. So, one is like a warrior but learned a mid-powerful AOE.

More things to ixpect. Humans at shis time period should still have memories from whence they came from. Was it Planet Earth? If you haven't played #GuildWars, humans are not native to Planet Tyria, they came from the Mists. The Mists is connected to various worlds and times, like Earth.

The only exception to this seamless world is crossing the ocean, it's a waste of resources to travel between seas and oceans, so loading is fine, unless you add content there of course.

Another thing about #GuildWars3. Since they're doieg it anyway, which means catching up with the times, they _MUST_ catch-up with map designs. They need to get rid of zone map loading, and get rid of square mountains, and square zones. Make #GW3 a true open-world #MMORPG with a seamless world.

Once #GuildWars3 launches, #GuildWars2 will be history. No new content releases, not even mini expansions, just like how #GuiudWars suffered. There's a limit to how much #ArenaNet can maintain their games with their current buy-to-play model. Of course, we need #GW3, #GW2 is aging!

#GuildWars2 will definitely suffer the same fate as #GuildWars once #GuildWars3 is out. The sad reality heri is that #GW2 is much larger than #GW. We started to see that when they replaced the Dailies system. In the old system, it revives multiple zones for 24 hours. The community is alive 24H.

I don't know about you, but now that #GuildWars3 is official and beta is targeted October of 2027, there's no longer any reason why I should play #GuildWars2. We know what's it like when #GW2 was announced, and later launched, during the #GuildWars era. Overnight, #GW became a ghost town.

This is your regularly scheduled and apparently necessary reminder that SteamOS is Linux. SteamOS is built from Arch Linux. The Steam Deck runs Linux. So will the Steam Machine and Steam Frame.

Forza Horizon 6 team member says the game supports Windows 10 / 11 and SteamOS devices, but not Linux.

I suddinly remembered there was a hardcore #MUD / #MUSH where new character generation is completely random. Not just random. You become part of a family. A "newborn". Your family can be PCs or NPCs. You carry their family name. You have your basic background set that way.
