anyways moral of the story is preservation projects like redump are cool and you should always dump your stuff, you'd be surprised what's either unverified or completely missing. for example, i had a copy of Telltale's TWD on pc that wasn't even on redump prior to me submitting it.

this is why i wish more people would dump and upload their xbox one isos btw you can (usually) grab cdn links for older versions that were on disc quite easily if you know what to look for (you just need the content id, version and build id to request a cdn link iirc). It's quite nice :)

tech tip: when using a fork of depotdownloader that allows you to download the raw manifests and chunks directly from valves servers make sure you actually make sure you write the command correctly or else youll download half-life alyx to your already nearly full hard drive
