Finally put the Steam Machine to use last night to play some Judgment, and it really does fill the gap for our household. Playing Steam games on the sofa with no extra faff is amazing, and it runs SO quietly!! 😱 Now we're looking into installing a DAW on it and hopefully use it as a home studio 🎸

Where did September go? 😱 There's not much to report this month since half of it was spent on our jollies, but I did acquire a new interest/hobby whilst I was away 😁 gamergalexe.wordpress.com?p=26091

Monthly Summary: September 2026

September has been a weird one. My husband and I spent the first half of the month on a highly scenic, jam-packed trip around Scotland, which naturally meant there was zero time for our usual hobbi…

I hear the Steam Autumn Sale starts soon? 🍂 Participating in a backlog year has meant I haven't played any new releases this year. Here's an impromptu post featuring the top 7 games on my Steam wishlist that I might end up buying in the very near future 😅 gamergalexe.wordpress.com/2026/09/29/w...

What Did I Miss? Games of 2026

Participating in a backlog year has been a totally new concept for me this year, and while it’s been a blessing in many ways, it also means I’ve missed out on a handful of 2026 releases…

Just finished ep.28 and I'm kinda losing interest now... The first arc was amazing, and the 2nd part followed on well, but I'm not feeling this 3rd part at all. Hopefully it will pick back up and have a good ending (no spoilers pls)!

Looking for a new Metroidvania game? 🤔 Well Dweller might be for you! Fantastic music, thrilling boss battles, lots of trinkets and secrets to find. Also has a great story that you want to keep playing and the game is charming. Why not give it a play and discover a new favorite? ☺️

Hopping on the trend 😁 I've changed this several times, and now I think I'm content with the finished result. This may seem like an odd selection of games, but this small handful have all contributed something much deeper to my life than I could have ever imagined 🥰

Guild Wars 2: I'd never seen a game this big and beautiful before! Exploring Tyria was the escape I needed during a hard time in my life, and despite not playing for years, I still think about this game (HoT era) often. I'd love to get back into it again, I'm just not sure I have the time anymore 😞

It's time to try something different. I absolutely LOVED reading as a child, but the last time I read a novel was well over a decade ago. I found a 1948 copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and a 1970s version of Winnie the Pooh in a second hand bookshop, so now it's time to read some classics!

Hardcover books: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll (1948 version), and Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne (1970s version).

The Vampire Diaries has basically taken over my life for the past month 🫣 I'm really enjoying my rewatch and the teen nostalgia (a rarity for me), but I'm starting to miss the other things I typically watch. Might take a break when I finish S3 as I see Khemjira has been added to Netflix 👀
