Feel you on that. When I told my orthopedic specialist that the acupuncture and magnetic field therapy she suggested for the cartilage lesion in my knee are not for me and that I'd prefer real science based options, she quickly ended the appointment. I hope you'll receive the help you're looking for

I'm curious to see how she'll use it and whether it will end up biting me in the butt, but the way this idea naturally occurred to her, without any pre knowledge about ttrpgs in general, was really heartwarming to me. The way this game sparks creativity is amazing.

So I offered her a compromise: She can work on the dreamcatcher as a downtime project with a progress countdown of 4 and once it is finished, she can use it once per long rest to negate me spending one fear, returning the spotlight back to the group.

On their first long rest, my sister, who has never played a ttrpg in her entire life, asked if she could use the "Work on a project" downtime action to start crafting a Dreamcatcher in order to reduce my Fear by half. I really loved the idea, especially since she's playing a witch.

When the hawk then kept clinging onto the amulet, the Aggrieved used two spotlights in a row to keep bashing down it's axe onto the transformed druid, bringing him close to death. But the rest of the party was able to interfere and save their friend, ultimately besting the angry spirit.

The Aggrieved proved itself to be a formidable foe for these four level 2 characters, even without any additional minions or supporters around. When the druid turned into a hawk to snatch the amulet from the center of the Aggrieved's torso, the spinning blades and debris caused him to mark 4 HP.

My #daggerheart players faced The Aggrieved by @artificer-ind.bsky.social yesterday, when they investigated the ruins of an old farm for a missing family heirloom, based on the Overgrown Field environment by @domille.bsky.social. As soon as they touched the amulet, the angry spirit lashed out.

My very first ttrpg experience was a oneshot of #SunderedSkies. At that point I had not seen any actual plays or anything, just found an ad of a local ttrpg group looking for new players. This lead to me joining a campaign of #TheDarkEye #DSA for half a year, before eventually trying other systems.

Initially it was meant to be a side effect of the main plot they were following. Their interest in saving the forest animals grew so big, that I changed course, invented a separate curse that caused the blight and yesterday they were able to rid the the are of the unholy and corrupted influence.

Yesterday I ran the 9th session of our #daggerheart campaign. So far my players have actively decided to ignore the main story hook, that I had planned and instead expressed interest in following a red hering, that I had placed in session 1. They originally had come across a blighted boar.

I sent my players into the underbelly of the capital city - a crime syndicate has taken root in the sewers. I expected them to work for them or find some incriminating evidence against them. Instead they declared a blood vengeance on their boss for trafficking people, which never even was a thing 😅
