Been working on this a while, but about to start a really big undertaking: in the damageless Rockman Rockman streams, we're finally starting the Oilman levels on Hard Mode! He's by far the hardest character to beat the game with so this is gonna suck!! twitch.tv/gamechamp3k

It's reached the point I'm getting jumpscared by my outdated voice from videos that aren't even that old (,,ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ,,)

Oh, that's the kind of thing I suspect is also just related to the quality of the given footage

020

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I'll get there eventually I swear!!!

120

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Actually, I can't check right now since I ended my subscription, but it'd be interested to check what the colors are like on JP Netflix, since they replaced the original there with a remastered faux widescreen. Wouldn't be surprised if they restored the colors (or used a higher quality source)

130

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

If you mean the general shading of the entire picture I am 99% certain that is simply a difference in quality of the available versions, since even totally black shots have that bright tint in JP. I suspect, just as a matter of circumstance, the English image was better preserved.

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I should note it's possible it's not actually a shard of glass and is actually some extra bright shading but I do lean more towards glass and it's funny either way 4Kids left it in

2591

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

This one is really *really* funny, after Pegasus' glass explodes in his hand. 4Kids edited out the fruit juice, apparently purely so nobody would *incorrectly* misinterpret it as blood, *but* they left the shard of glass embedded in his thumb lol

So basically they needed to edit out the guns of the guys on the right but then they'd have to redraw bits of art on the bookshelf behind them. Much easier is to mirror the left bookshelf onto the right and stack it on top of itself, then place the new gunless thugs over. Photoshop magic!

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Don't ask me why the finish is less shiny, that one I have no explanation for, I guess 4Kids just didn't like the original shading

1250

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Oh I realized you also need this

1312

Gamechamp @gamechamp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

You might think the only edit they made to this shot was the guns, but no, there's something else they did along the way. Look very closely. I love this so much because it is exactly the kind of stupid jerryrigged working-with-what-you've-got solution I do in Premiere all the time

#75 - Kingdom Hearts Re:coded 1080p 4K HD Full Game Movie I never got the PS3 trophies for this and forgot about that fact before trading in the disc. I now have the PS3 version again for some reason so I let it play while I went on a bike ride and now I have every Kingdom Hearts trophy on PS3 lol

I was away for so long Netflix became unusable for Yu-Gi-Oh videos!! Not only did they remove the dub from US Netflix, the Japanese version has been replaced with a faux widescreen zoomed-in edit. I was going to keep this a surprise but project cancelled blegh blegh vampire blegh (¬`‸´¬)
