more people need to acknowledge the enshittification of IGN. their website and podcasts have become so over inundated with clickable and audio ads EVERYWHERE that it makes it horrific to want to engage with their incredibly talented journalists and commentators.

the interpersonal ennui of Charli XCX’s “Music, Fashion, Film” is truly magical. there is something almost dadaist about this record, how the songs just ebb and flow, some without traditional structure, while still feeling like pop music. it’s a beautiful melodic stream of consciousness.

"Why did the casting of a Black actress cause so much controversy?" because small gangs of slobbering gutter racists aided by an unprincipled media landscape in the business of selling outrage have been allowed to run wild. there is literally nothing else to discuss.

Senior leadership at Xbox and Microsoft will then be confused when people start leaving for roles at smaller studios or to go fully independent. Nobody is going to wait around for a fuck-ass severance package while being expected to do top-quality work until the day HR comes knocking on their door.

the most batshit evil choice of Microsoft was to replace Phil Spencer, a middle-aged white man, as Xbox CEO with Asha Sharma, a younger woman of color, and immediately put her at the head of decisions regarding these mass layoffs. This feels deeply sinister.

All of this while Microsoft is (allegedly) still providing their technology to the Israeli government so they can surveil citizens in Gaza. It is clear where this organization's morals lie, and it is not with humanity.

Final Fantasy Tactics expertly drops little nuggets about the truths of living in a corrupt government structure and why it’s important to stand up for and with your fellow community. it may sound cheesy but some of these quick moments have gotten little tears out of me.
