Had a lovely visit recently from @TipperaryTourism to Galtee Honey Farm as part a members outing. We shared stories, tasted honey & mead, and talked bees, biodiversity & heritage. Thanks to Caroline Rice & team for making it happen! 🐝 #visittipperary #tippfood ##ativeirishhoneybees

The bees are bringing in beautiful Irish honey at the moment, sycamore, horse chestnut, hawthorn. The left side is capped riped honey. Tea left side is unripe unsealed honey, yet to be ripened. #irishbees #irishhoney #nativeirishhoneybees

Golden coloured Honey comb held up against the light, with dark black honey bees covering some of it.

Beannachtaí na Bealtaine! May Eve rituals done last night - Easter holy water at hives, sheds, thresholds. Greenery at the door - Rowan, Yew, Oak, Hazel, Hawthorn… The honey farm is bursting to life: bluebells, apple blossom, light through the oaks, the yew wood. #Bealtaine #MayDay #irishhoneybees

So excited to share that Galtee Honey Farm will feature on Anna Haugh’s Big Irish Food Tour this Monday! Anna - and Tipperary’s Úna Healy - joined us for a day of beekeeping and learning about our native Irish honey bees. They also visited Inch House Pudding and the Rock of Cashel.

A new life begins. Witnessing the birth of a bee is always a good moment. One of our native Irish black honeybees. #nativeirishhoneybees #irishhoney #irishbees #birth
