Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 04/10/2026As a parent, I never tire of responding to my kids’ complaints with “Hi, Bored (Tired/Hungry/etc), I’m mom. Nice to meet you.” 😃👍 050

Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 11/08/2026(Also, for future colonoscopies, make sure to ask about the pill option for the prep, which I hear is much less unpleasant than the drink! Unless you already did that this time and you already know.) 1110
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I am glad you listened to your doctor(s). I am glad the biopsy results were encouraging. And I’m glad you’re sharing this story. ❤️ 190
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 03/08/2026They are different stories intended for very different audiences, but having read both, I can see the similarities! (Also, The Croaking webcomic combines elements of both those two series plus Space Boy. I’m enjoying it a lot.) 010

Reposted by Ginajessamyn @librarian.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful 193126207999
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 31/07/2026My teen just showed me photos of the Arabian sand boa, and that is the derpiest snake I’ve ever seen. It looks like someone’s bad drawing of a snake. I love it. 110

Reposted by Ginaderek guy @dieworkwear.bsky.social · 09/07/2026A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting? 9549861615

Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Have you read the book On Repentance and Repair, by Danya Ruttenberg? It is fantastic. I highly recommend. danyaruttenberg.net/books/on-rep...danyaruttenberg.netOn Repentance And Repair - Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg 020
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 07/06/2026Related: you can look at images of Mark Rothko’s paintings in books or online, but the experience of actually seeing one in person is completely different. (As I discovered when I, an art major, happened upon a Mark Rothko exhibition when I was visiting Paris.) 010
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 04/06/2026I am so happy that you posted this and that I saw it! This is one of my most favorite artworks I’ve collected over my many years skulking around the internet, and I’m so happy to finally have a credited version! 000
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 03/06/2026Real talk: if I see “Jeremy Whitley” listed as a writer on a comic, I buy that comic. 🤷♀️ I know that whatever the genre, whatever the subject, it’ll be handled with sensitivity and humor. 130
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 05/05/2026A sampling of my favorite courses in college: “life drawing,” “non-western theater,” “archeoastronomy and world cosmology,” “women in politics” — and in many cases, my love of the class was just as dependent on the skill and teaching style of the professor, as it was on the actual topic. 020
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 04/05/2026It even begins with a variation on the classic opening line of fairy tales: “Long ago, in a far off kingdom…” 000
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 27/04/2026This is great to hear! I was curious about this film. Glad to know it’s worth my time. 😁 010

Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 25/03/2026And I’m inspired to reread Goose Girl, even though it made me very sad when I read it many years ago. 030
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 25/03/2026These days, my comfort rereads include The House in the Cerulean Sea (TJ Klune), Red White & Royal Blue (Casey McQuiston), Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Becky Albertalli), Heartstopper (Alice Oseman), Restart After Coming Back Home (Cocomi), and Our Dining Table (Mita Ori). 090
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 25/03/2026That has to have been it. 😩 Maybe I can handle it now. Or maybe if I’d read it as a kid, since I seemed to handle The Neverending Story just fine back then. 020
Gina @galongi.bsky.social · 25/03/2026Also, I read The Goose Girl years ago and I only remember it made me sad. 😢 But so many people talk about how they love it so, which is inspiring me to read it again and see if it hits differently at this time in my life. 130
