The Gate. I was not prepared for anything like it.

Poster for “The Gate”, a PG-13 horror film from 1987.

It looks upon a patch of grass where the words “The Gate” are etched out into deep holes, out from which are two inhuman claws and red glowing eyes.

At the top of the poster, the tagline is printed:

“THERE IS A PASSAGEWAY — A GATE
BEHIND WHICH THE DEMON WAITS
TO TAKE BACK WHAT WAS ONCE THEIRS”

The bottom of the poster shows the simplified credits and studio behind the film. Those can be found at:

Absolutely true. But shitty web design can lead to huge web cache. Bluesky itself regularly accumulates about half a GB when used in a mobile browser.

A screenshot of iOS Settings >> Safari >> Advanced >> Website Data from my phone. It shows of 1.3GB in total website data (cache), bsky.app uses 464 MB.

Happy Bi Day of Visibility!

A pic of me. A dude with shortish hair that is faded. Wearing a blue and purple tie dye shirt with frogs that are in bisexual colors. I’m doing a peace sign.

at least they make it easy to delete your account after this bullshit. Fuck Webtoon.

Fabulous Bodies by @chucktingle.bsky.social was a real fun read. Light and quick, but still punchy and visceral. Always remember that LOVE IS REAL!

The cover for the novel “Fabulous Bodies” by Chuck Tingle. Light blue background, with pink heart-shaped sunglasses reflecting water. There is a red splatter of blood across them.

The text reads:
USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR
CHUCK TINGLE
FABULOUS BODIES
Never meet your heroes
“A bighearted, chilling ride.” — Vulture, on Bury Your Gays

Leviticus is a flawed film, but a really good one. Some real good tension and heart. I just wish that it didn’t just… end. Feels like it was a three-act film where they only filmed the first two acts. Though this makes for a lean, tight runtime.

Leviticus (2026) poster art. Shows a boy with brown hair being embraced.

I just wrapped watching Lost (2004-2010). A fun, thought provoking series. I have some complaint, and I think ABC’s reluctance to let the show end earlier hindered things. But all around, the show has heart.

Cover art for the tv series Lost (2004-2010). A stark, blue/green on black, with the cast lined up, though far away from the camera.

@puzzmo.com a banner ad is overlapping the keyboard, and the X icon to dismiss the banner is non-functional. How is one supposed to use your app to complete a crossword without access to the keyboard?

A screenshot of the Mini-Crossword from Puzzmo. The bottom half of the on-screen keyboard is covered by a banner ad that has an X icon that should close the ad. But the button is not responding to touch.

I’m a notoriously slow and methodical reader. So when I get recommended long reads, I get intimidated. I’m glad I worked through those thoughts for “King Sorrow” by @joe-hill.bsky.social. A harrowing, heart wrenching epic for those that love character. and one hell of a page-turner to boot!

The cover of the novel “King Sorrow” by Joe Hill. Features a picture of an intimidating red dragon head looking out at the viewer with glowing eyes.

Maybe the price tag is to help offset the token cost for generating all the slop.

it’s telling when people find out about this commit and start commenting on it, then MSFT locks the thread as spam. Fuck Microslop. Fuck CoPilot. Fuck VSCode.

A screenshot of the commit where CoPilot is listed as a co-author by default. The thread is locked, simply with the message “Microsoft locked as spam”

W/o downloading anything new, where are you mentally?

A two panel image. The top panel has David Lynch, and older, grey haired man wearing a black button up, sitting at a desk and looking at the camera. The text says “One day, the sadness will end.” The second panel, David looks back, squinting as if looking out a bright window. The bottom text says “But I don’t think today’s the day.”

I got myself a present. back in high school I was reasonably good at DDR. While it’s frustrating that I need to build up my skills again, it’s still really fun to get back into it. Maybe someday I’ll be as good as I used to be :)
