There’s something truly special about drawing animals you often see in everyday life – like the squirrel, quick and curious. I’ve tried to capture both the calm and alertness in its gaze. #graphiteart #squirrel #realisticdrawing #wildlifeart #swedishnature #drawingjoy #artistlife

New on the drawing board: a woodpecker starting to take shape. The exhibition on Sunday didn’t quite go as planned – after several hours of setting up, we had to pack everything up again after just two hours due to heavy rain. Once the downpour started, at least the takedown went quickly 😅

Here’s a glimpse of my latest drawing in progress. Sometimes it’s in the eyes and the tiny nuances where the animal’s presence truly starts to emerge. There’s still a way to go, but I’m already starting to like what I see 🖤 #graphitedrawing #squirrel #animalart #realisticdrawing #wip

The First Half of 2025 in Pencil Half the year has already passed – and it’s been filled with pencil drawings for me. I was honestly a bit surprised myself by how many I’ve managed to finish!

I think I’m about halfway done with this female portrait now. It’s slowly but surely starting to take shape – and soon it’ll be time to dive into those small details that really bring everything to life. #pencildrawing #portrait #realisticdrawing #artistlife #wip #drawingjoy

I almost didn’t post today because I felt I had nothing “pretty” to show. Most of the time, a drawing looks rough and unfinished. This portrait will probably need 10 more hours – and for 9 of them, it’ll still look “wrong.” Just a reminder: keep going. The magic often comes after the struggle.

I drew this little raccoon last year while I was on vacation in Spain. Instead of taking a siesta, I spent my afternoons with pencils in hand, enjoying the calm. It’s one of my personal favorites from 2024 – and earlier this year, it also found a new home 🦝❤️ #pencildrawing #art #artistlife

I often start my drawings with the eyes. That’s where expression is born – where life begins to show. To me, it’s the eyes that pull us in, hold us there, and silently tell a story we somehow understand. #pencilart #eyes #portraits #gaze #soulthroughart #artisticjourney

Work in progress – meerkats in focus! As I draw these two meerkats, I can't help but think of old-fashioned black-and-white portraits. I'm trying to capture that exact feeling – as if they're posing for the camera – and bring it to life on paper. #graphitedrawing #meerkats #workinprogress
