The interior surface of an artificial, torus-shaped world. Artificial gravity keeps continents, ocean and the atmosphere down, as if though they were on a real planet. A fusion-powered luminaire, just like a ring-shaped sun, traverses the torus along its center.

A vast green disc, almost like a dense and lush bush, surrounds a sun-like star. Around the disk stands a giant blue atmosphere extended along the star's entire orbit. An enormous, smooth, gray pillar rises from behind a lush hill, the only detail in its surface being a glowing rainbow groove near its base. Two more pillars can be seen in the distance, supporting the Shellworld's higher layers: this layer's ceiling can be seen above, appearing as a glowing grid.

A colorful moon-sized processing megastructure, its swirling surface characterized by a glowing grid of hexagon, radiates heat through a specialized section of its surface. The brain orbits an aqua green gas giant: clusters of aerostatic cities can be seen on its night-side and areas shaded by the dense rings, floating high in the atmosphere.

A tropical island, with its surrounding waters, resting on top of a giant plate. The plate and the island on top of it are actually a starship: forcefields are used to retain a surrounding atmosphere, clouds included. The forcefield is also used to generate a small sun by heating up hydrogen, that illuminates the plate's island surface.

Imagine Earth's atmosphere. Now take away the solid Earth, and fill the volume with more atmosphere (keep the water). Take that, and extend it along the Sun's entire orbit. That's basically what a Smoke Ring is. Just remember to throw in some forcefields or an airwall to keep all that air and water nice and close.

A swarm of Dytrees orbiting around the star Yulhhi'othra'xemmo and its dyson swarm. Made using Procreate. #art #digitalart #illustration #fiction #drawing #artwork #scifi #scifiart #space #SpaceOpera #SpaceArt #spacecore #spaceflight #MilkySkies #megastructure #plant

Three giant plants orbit close to one another around a red star surrounded by a large belt swarm of solar collectors. Beams of light, created by the plants' internal fusion-powered microsun, emerge from seemingly open holes in the outer membrane. These are not true openings, as they are kept closed by forcefields and airwalls, retaining the atmosphere in which the plant's citizens live. In fact, vast zero-g cities use the dytree's internal structure as structural support.

A Bank's Orbital. Looks about as standard as you can get with one of those, so you can just go look up a better description than I could provide you, although it does have some nice exterior rainbow lights! Is it decorations? Is it cities? It's both, actually.
