iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It feels like it doesn't make sense to devote an entire section to maintaining a ship's drive when there's stuff like the Shimmering Swarms in the setting. These lil guys are a menace in large numbers, like locusts. In small numbers they're harmless unless provoked. (Art credit: Dragonbecca)

Dramatized diagram of a Shimmering Swarm drone melting into and corrupting the biology and concept of a person with bio-quartz.

Shimmering Swarm morphs and/or variants. Living Crystal spider-like creatures with four legs used for locomotion and two as feelers.

Might be focusing more on worldbuilding than what people would actually care about in a sci-fantasy story.. Would people even care how a fold-space drive works in saving time? Let's say a two year trip cut down to somewhere between a week to a month depending on the model of drive and optimization.

Wasted the weekend trying to figure out how to make sci-fantasy engines believable for my project. No luck other than retaining helium-3's importance..

My own dumb theory for one of the new starter evos: I think that Gecqua will lose its legs as it evolves and become a Bakunawa-inspired pokemon with the tail becoming a blade. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakunawa

I'm really surprised they didn't explain this in the original announcement.. It's like "shooting your foot to hide a cut on your hand" levels of bad communication.

Mental health has been dropping to subterranean levels lately. I'm so tired of this world.

Latest big build. Gotta say I love how this Soundwave kit came with so many extra bots. (Sorry if my Alt-text is bad, I'm trying my best.)

A picture of a model kit of a blue, yellow, and white robot with a bird shaped one sitting on his arm accompanied by three smaller robots and a minikit of Soundwave's cassette player mode.

Oh dang, I love the shoulder columns. Demolisher and the 'bots of the Tyrest Accord and this guy can pull that off well.

New canon ~~ship~~ haul just dropped. Idk if bsky has strikethrough text. But honestly the two look cute there.

I know it's not creative, but something in me wanted to match the adept glaive I got from the puzzle's glow.

Can't really get into the other Gundam series since I don't really know the lore too well.. The first one I fully watched was Witch From Mercury, so any pointers on the main timeline stuff would be good. [Don't hate me. I'm more a builder than a watcher]
