It's cancelled now. www.mephitfurmeet.org

Dear MFM Family,

We have some sad news to share with you. We need to postpone Mephit Fur Meet this year.

Since Thursday we’ve done the following things:

Made 132 phone calls to different venues
Actually had conversations with 73 different hotels across Tennessee and Mississippi
Had three hotels go from “yes we can host you” to “oh wait, no we can’t” after we told them we wanted to move forward

We’ve done everything we can do. Labor Day weekend is a very busy weekend in the Memphis area, and it shows. Every hotel around is full.

The poll last night was very close, with a tight mix between “postpone until 2027” and “try to have a mini Memphit.” (A virtual event was not that popular.) Since it was close we made even more phone calls this morning to try to find a place in cities further away, but even those came up empty.

We’ll have details coming up in a few days about how we’re going to handle memberships. We need to decide what to do with our systems to make that possible. (We’ll quickly need to add something new.)

We are going to extend the deadline for requesting a refund to this weekend if you would rather have a refund than rolling over to MFM 2027. We want to be transparent with our family that most of our funds have been tied up in prep for 2026, so we’d much prefer it if folks would roll over to 2027, but we’ll work with you.

My final #artfight attack of the year is this little animation, some sweet sweet revenge. Why did the sheep ace the job interview? BECAUSE SHE'S OUT STANDING IN HER FIELD! #pixelart #sheep

My latest #artfight attack is on @magicpuss.bsky.social !!! There she goes, solving mysteries with her reluctant companion! #artfight #geronimostilton #theastilton

It is a Thea Stilton universe mouse? rat? lady original character carrying a magnifying glass and running to the right. She is carrying a fluffy white cat that is closing its eyes and crying, only partially willing to participate in the adventure that the mouse? rat? is going on. This attack was worth 68 points in art fight

By far my most elaborate #artfight attack this year so far, a playable undertale-inspired battle game. Can you believe this is only worth 66 points? Play it here: tic80.com/play?cart=4763

Found this on primfeed www.primfeed.com/serenesaga.r...

Image of text: It is such a relief after all these years Linden Labs is finally doing something about Darkfold. I gave up issuing DMCA's 6 years ago when he stole shit from me. Left SL because it was clear they didn't care about people stealing (no punishment of any kind) after having removed several items. Decided to give it another shot and after reaching out to them once again this past week... I'm happy to see they've finally suspended his account and have taken his stores down. I've been relatively silent about what a lying, stealing, sc*mbag he is over the year's... I now feel vindicated.

He didn't make those animations, he doesn't even know how to use blender properly let alone animate. Most of the mesh item's he's released over the years were copybotted in some form during the workflow process (I realized this when files were sent to me containing object names that seemed suspicious) to make animations for them or simulate additional mesh "addons". Then to turn around, rename them (animations) after the girls he's slept with, and sell it was unfathomable to me. He has been fooling his customer base for years, uses his store as "clout" to sleep with customers across various alts. I'm happy I can finally close that chapter of my life and move forward.

Please go spend your money on animators who are creative and legitimate. I've seen many since coming back, they deserve your lindens. Not someone who has been recycling the same old stolen animations for years.

I won't link it here, but another one of my #artfight attacks this year was a virtual fish tank that I put a few of my victim's OCs in... it's a web toy and the characters swim around aimlessly, forever, bumping into each other and the glass. A little web toy I made with #godot

One of my most elaborate #artfight attacks ever is this crocheted interpretation of one of @pazu.bsky.social 's characters, Pashmina. This one took a while, but she came out super cute. I'll deliver it to her in person next month!

Gaffe @gaffe.fun · 11/07/2025

My most elaborate art fight attack this year (so far) is this crochet shark with hastily assembled craft paper scenery. Compare to the reference... I don't think I'll be crocheting another attack this year. It's just too time consuming and fiddly!!

Instead of doing The Right Thing, the Single Action Shooting Society has decided to put the question of allowing trans women to compete in the Ladies category to a vote. Not cool. I picked up the sport this year with my gender-nonconforming niece. #sass #singleactionshooting #cowboyactionshooting

A screenshot of the online form titled "SASS Member Vote", asking the user to vote on whether trans women should be excluded from the Ladies competition categories. I voted "No" - indicating I do not support restricting the Ladies categories to "biological females only".

I hardly drew anything outside of art fight last year, gonna try to make 2025 a little bit different.

It's a bingo card, a 5x5 grid with the following spaces: pazu, paws, borderline comical oversized breasts, comic, iris, ref sheet, tasteful nude, animated, tasteless nude, big/predatory cat, vulva, videogame/web toy, one of my own characters, 3d model, butt, dragon/scaly, gnc character, commission work, pin-up, convincing shading, snuggles, multiple characters, big pp, hooves, friend TBA

050

Gaffe @gaffe.fun · 12/12/2024

I'd pay at least $20 for any kind of BW sketch. Any composition is fine with me

Among the silliest... no, definitely the silliest #artfight attack I made this year was this lil fox guy riding his giant blue cat. #artfight2024 #art #furryart #furry #animation

Gaffe @gaffe.fun · 04/12/2024

I made video games for #artfight this year, and I got a mention on the official year-end wrap up for my game "Leggy Vack", which is about making a maned wolf's legs grow really stupidly long. Play it here: gaffe-buck.github.io/astik-leggy/ #furry #furryart #pixelart #videogame #artfight2024
