Excellent @flomask.bsky.social! Wearing one at the moment as I get ready to get on the streetcar here in Kansas City.
Weird looking old balding guy wearing glasses, a high quality respirator, gray t-shirt and a black jacket.

Were those hardware problems with the throttle? I'm 66, and I'm old enough to have known people who worked on the Apollo program. Every one of them considered it the most important thing they'd ever done in their lives.

Whenever I see some immensely wealthy guy bending the knee, I remember this particular news article from 2019, and how the FBI opened Jeffrey Epstein's safe, then left all the hard drives and CDs of photos sitting on top while they went to get a warrant. I figure they must have been in there.

FBI agents used a saw to open a safe in Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan mansion that held hard drives and diamonds
The FBI agent said a search of Epstein's mansion found numerous hard drives and CDs filled with photographs.

I've heard the argument made that the software for the Apollo mission may have been the only *completely* debugged code ever written.

I need to watch that one again. I haven't seen it since it was first in the theaters (I saw it at Chicago's Fine Arts Theater on Michigan avenue.)

The scene with Alfred Molina as a genuinely remorseful lawyer just absolutely destroyed me. It hits me especially hard because, like Molina, I'm a large, physically imposing man, and Carrie Mulligan is justifiably afraid of him.

Week before last, I toured the Treasures of the Steamboat Arabia museum in Kansas City Missouri, which sank in 1856. I was amazed to discover, that virtually all of the hundreds of tools aboard this ship were ones I knew how to use. Some tools just achieved perfection early on. www.1856.com

It's a truly great film. It has not just Bill Murray, but Geena Davis and Randy Quaid and was the first time I ever noticed Tony Shalhoub as the cab driver.

I've had a couple of colonoscopies, and the one thing that made it all bearable was a Toto Washlet bidet toilet seat. When it felt like I was doing nothing but pooping out stomach acid, and the thought of touching anywhere down there with paper made me scream, this thing was a blessing.

I've been using Azelestine twice a day for several years, and I've never had a symptomatic case of covid. This is the study that Leo was mentioning: I also use BLIS K12 streptococcus salivarius lozenges every evening.

The secret of a great grilled cheese is not butter, but mayonnaise. Genuine mayonnaise, not Miracle Whip. It's an emulsion of eggs and oil, and spreads on bread perfectly, as opposed to trying to have perfectly softened butter.

A genius songwriter, easily the equal of Lennon/McCartney, Elvis Costello and Bob Dylan in my opinion. A really sweet human being who never forgot a favor, and she died a hero saving her sons. It's impossible for me to talk about this without getting choked up.

I just saw it today. Honestly, it didn't hit me particularly hard, and I didn't feel the friendship between the two protagonists very well. Also (and this is a "me" thing) I despised the anime references tossed into the film. I had the same problem with Pixar's "Turning Red."

Watch him in the movie "Witness". He had the genuine skills to build a barn. As a tool user myself, I'm continually annoyed by scenes of actors using them like a bunch of goons.

I have no idea why this wasn't vastly more popular. Except that maybe horror fans are like toddlers and want the same thing, again. All I know is that when M3GAN started singing "This Woman's Work" I was both laughing and crying, wishing that my late wife and fellow Kate Bush fan was there.

I remember the theater I was in when I first saw this, Kansas City's late unlamented Seville Square. The theater was packed, and a young lady whom I had never met was seated to my right and grabbed my arm at various exciting sequences. If I had any game, I might have closed that deal.

Here's my late wife Vickie with one of her favorite directors, Lana Wachowski. She went to see a film in one of the other auditoriums, came out, and saw a bunch of people. She talked to a woman about her own age, who turned out to be Lana's mom, who introduced them and took the picture.
