Talked with my instructor the other day looking for some advice on another drawing and they basically said I need to decide if I want him just to help correct things, or teach me how to draw properly. It kind of made me realize I really need to buckle down and learn things now.

Been spending the slow week at work as a chance to do some doodling and work on OCs for people on sticky notes. It does make me think about trying to make a Chomps oc too. I just can’t decide if they should be chubby, lanky, or appears normal until you lift their shirt up. Reh heh!

Last night I had a moment of- passionate fury(?) I suppose. I finished something for a friend and I could just tell they weren’t that into it, and just was being nice. Which, yeah. That’s fine. But it stuck with me and kept me from sleeping for a bit. I want to get better at this, I crave it!

Thinking about it more, I kind of want to try out a simple form of blocking! Creating defined shapes and then making outlines and detailing out of it. I would just have to find brushes that don’t overlap between each other. Just keeping things solid till it’s time to apply shading.
