Now the bar's full. It's been full for like 5 minutes and it's not finished yet. It's fucking with me right? This can't be real.

Ship-to-ship combat? I didn't have to think hard about this one. In Saint Seiya I'd ship Shaina with Seiya over Saori every day. Canon be damned. #AniMangaFoundIt #SaintSeiya apc@starside.social

At the end of the 3rd part of the "Before the wind blows" arc in Kzuhiro Fujita's Ushio and Tora, our protagonist Ushio and his childhood friend Asako meet as the wind blows a thousand cherry blossoms around them. This sweet and romantic moment turns within a […] [Original post on fosstodon.org]

A page from the 247th chapter (Before the wind blows part 3: The wind blows) of Kazuhiro Fujita's manga "Ushio and Tora". In the top two panels we see Ushio and Asako, one in each panel, staring at each other with somewhat surprised expressions. Ushio has short messy hair and a small scar in the middle of his forehead. Asako is wearing a peculiar cloth hat, slightly tilted on her head. In the large bottom panel Asak is standing in the middle of a thousand blowing cherry blossoms. She's wearing a shirt with a sleeveless jacket on top and a long skirt. She smiles back at the viewer as the wind blows away her hat and says "Yeah!". The entire panel has Fujita's very particular drawing style with rough edges and crude but detailed representations.

Given today is #TransVisibilityDay here's an interesting tidbit: among the flood of AI generated slop that's been thrown around you'll find plenty of AI-generated fake '80s japanese synthpop usually presented with images of pretty girls as the cover image. The […] [Original post on fosstodon.org]

Throwback to when the Gundam people wanted to make a joke about James Bond Octopussy in Z Gundam and gave Char Aznable an alias which is, well...

A promotional light panel poster of Char Aznable from the Zeta Gundam, the name written on the panel is that of his alias "Quattro Vagina"

A screenshot from Playstation fighting game Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack presenting the two characters (and their two mecha) who will fight the last battle. On the left is Char Aznable with white-blond hair and wearing a light orange space suite, and on the right it's also Char Aznable but under his Z-Gundam alias Quattro Bajeena... expect that it the name is spelled Quattro Vagina.

[Zenshu spoilers] I had been wondering if Zenshu would have graced us with a Your Name-style of ending and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic show, certainly the best I've seen in years.

In the upper half a screenshot of Zenshu's last scene, with Natsuko in the background walking past Luke and Memmeln in the foreground, with cherry trees in full bloom visible in the back. In th bottom half a screenshot of Your Name's last scene, with Mitsuha in the back, walking down the stairs and Taki in the front walking up. In both cases the characters walk past each other before stopping and turning around.

I did some changes to my wife's computer and there was no more room for the old Intel 2200 PCIe wireless card, but there was an M.2 slot still available. I've bought an NGFF -> M.2 adapter plus a bracket and two high-gain antennas from Fenvi, and plopped in an […] [Original post on fosstodon.org]

The adapter has a black PCB and a small cable plugged on the left side, close to the M.2 connector, this is the USB cable used for Bluetooth functionality. Two small black antenna cables extend from the wifi card on the right. My fingers are visible, holding the card.

#tfw you find out you have two versions of Microsoft Teams on your computer and don't remember installing either of them

For extra fun, here's the graph of Bitcoin's presumed value in the past month vs the market cap of Tether. It's pretty obvious that Bitcoin's price slumps whenever the market cap of Tether plateaus. Does it look like they're artificially propping up the price of Bitcoin? You bet!

A graph of the price of Bitcoin over the past month. It's going down overall but sometimes spiking to a higher value before going down again.

A graph of the market cap of Tether over the past month. It goes up fairly steadily, and the places where it stops going up correspond to the slumps in the price of Bitcoin in the previous graph.

To follow up on the other day's post and show just how outrageous this stuff is here's a graph of the market cap of Tether over the past week. Do you see those jumps happening at 1AM? That's when 200-250 millions of funny money appear out of thin air. They're […] [Original post on fosstodon.org]

First time here. I was a bit on edge because I wanted to go with Fire Bomber at first, but then I decided to truly show my age and go back further with Priss and the Replicants from #BubblegumCrisis @apc #AniMangaFoundIt
