Amen.

A prayer for international Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons 🙏🕯️

God of mercy and justice, we cry to you, horrified by the devastations made by nuclear weapons in the past, by the longlasting health and environmental repercussion, and by the fear that dwells within us all of their future use. stir in us a holy reverence for life, and a deep resolve to seek peace rooted in justice, not in equilibrium of threats. Guide the leaders of the nations with wisdom and restraint, that we may see a world free from nuclear weapons, in all their forms. We ask this through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen.

God of Love, we entrust to you the souls of all those who have died because of religious fanaticism, that they may rest in your Light, where there is no more suffering or sorrow. God of the oppressed, you have called us to support all those who are persecuted for their faith. We express our deep concern about the rise of Christian nationalism and other forms of religious extremism and obscurantism. Help us to work fervently for the spiritual freedom of all.

Amen.

Prayer for International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism 🙏🕯️

Almighty God, source of justice and eternal hope, through your prophet Isaiah, you foretold a day when terror would give way to peace. We share the pain of all communities shattered by violence, where lives are stolen and fear reigns in darkness. Comfort those who are suffering and shelter the wounded in your mercy; keep in your perpetual peace the souls of those who have died from violence and terrorism. Strengthen all those who defend justice and peace in places torn apart by hatred. Guide influential people to renounce vengeance and seek reconciliation.
Grant us the courage to denounce evi, the faith to cling to your promises, and the love to overcome fear. Through Jesus Christ, our light in the darkest hours. Amen.

Amen.

Happy nonbinary visibility day (to me, and others 😉) let’s celebrate with a short prayer, will you? #prayer #nonbinary #lgbtqiachristian #rainbowministry #episcopalchurch ⚓️🙏

O God, you reveal yourself through the incarnation of Jesus Christ our Savior, and you call us to reveal you to the world: we thank you for creating us all in your image. We celebrate yesterday our non-binary, two-spirit, gender-fluid, and agender siblings: we entrust them to you, God of Freedom. Remind us constantly that what we take to be eternal and universal regarding gender stereotypes is simply the product of recent and patriarchal norms, and not your design for Humanity.
Strengthen us with your love and ignite our intellect, so that we may work toward open and | inclusive societies that reflect the diversity of your Creation with respect and kindness. Finally, grant us the clarity and courage to see and celebrate our own diverse identities and to be touched by your infinite Love in our relationships with one another. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Amen.

A prayer for the International Transgender Day of Visibility! #tec 🕯️

O God, You reveal Yourself through the incarnation of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and You call us to reveal You to the world: We thank You for having created us all in Your image. Strengthen us to bear witness to Your infinite beauty as we journey through our earthly lives, firm in the certainty that we are Your beloved children and celebrating the beauty in each of us: especially today, as we honor our transgender, non-binary, and Two-Spirit siblings. We entrust them to You, God of Freedom. May we all work for more inclusive societies, free from all prejudices that are so hurtful and even deadly, so that they may receive all the help they need on the path to full reconciliation of mind, body, and soul, and may we protect and support them in this quest by advocating for just policies, validating their lived identity, and using their chosen names and pronouns. Finally, grant us the clarity and courage to recognize and celebrate our own diverse identities and to be touched by Your infinite Love in our relationships with one another. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Extract from this evening liturgy #TEC #RainbowMinistry the Lessons were: psalm 94, Ezekiel 37:1-14, Ephesians 1:3-10 #prayer #lent #christianqueer

An endless road (Marie Calma)
I'm going in search of the Other the road of no return, always higher and further.
Hope is my driving force, my quest for the Grail, peace, impossible to grasp.
Its life clings on,
without earthly sorrows, without the usual ties.
The shallow shore disappears when I want to rest
I go to the clouds above the abyss.
Thus I seek the Other
God reveals godself to me.
And every flower that I bring to my lips is the whole world
that I would like to find in everyone.

A Prayer by Woodrow Wilson:
Almighty God, Ruler of all the peoples of the earth forgive our shortcomings as nations, purify our hearts to see and love the truth, give wisdom to our leaders, and steadfastness to our people, and bring us at last to that fair city of peace whose foundations are mercy, justice, and goodwill, of which you are the designer and builder; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, by the Passover of your son you have brought us out of sin into righteousness and out of death into life: Grant to those who are sealed by your Holy Spirit the will and the power to proclaim you to all the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Amen.

Here’s a collect from the Rainbow Ministry, to answer the news as we can… 🕯️🙏 #rainbowministry #tec #prayer

Tonight, we pray for Renee Good, Alex Pretti, for all the people killed or hurt by ICE, for all the children terrorized and displaced, for all the protesters and people who are afraid. Keep them close to your heart, O God, comfort them and bring them peace.
Tonight, we pray for all protesters elsewhere in the world, especially in Iran, in Georgia, that they might stand courageously in front of oppression and testify to a greater hope for themselves, and for humankind. O God, strengthen them, and bring justice, wisdom and peace to the whole world.
Tonight, we pray for all children affected by state violence and war, in Gaza, in Ukraine, in the US, and everywhere else. O God, soothe them, and make people around them see them as the child you once were in Bethlehem.
May we all remember that Christ is present in every face, especially in every vulnerable and oppressed person. In your name we pray. Amen.

Prayer from the Rainbow Ministry for January 27th, International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust 🕯️ #pinktriangle #ww2 #lgbt

God of Peace and Mercy, while we mark the painful memory of all the victims of Nazism: because of their religion, their ethnicity, their sexual orientation, or their political affiliation, we entrust to you especially the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender deportees who suffered, died, sometimes survived, and then became victims of the silence imposed by the invisibility of their reason for persecution, and of the legal frameworks that still rendered their existence illicit. In their memory, God of the Universe, lead us toward siblinghood, distance us from all Manichean thinking that leads to fascism, and enable all those whose vocation it is to work for the memory, the recognition, and the reparation of the crimes committed by Nazism and all the dictatorships. In the name of your son who showed us the path of radical Love, we pray to you. Amen.
