For those interested in React Native, since the community is, in a way, very scattered across many different platforms, I've been making a compendium on where you can find content. hope it helps 🗺️ 👇 lifeiswhat.notion.site/The-React-Na…

Bluesky is a public benefit corp with the mission “to develop and drive large-scale adoption of technologies for open and decentralized public conversation.” The PBC status allows us to pursue our mission above profit, but we still need to make this open ecosystem sustainable.

I have a Main Focus right now, but I'm open to tightly scoped project-based work or hourly research consults. First step is a 15 minute chat on background: calendly.com/vcarl/quick-chat

atproto devs! we updated our specifications recently. no major changes to the protocol, but a whole bunch of details, guidelines, and "what still might change" context. check 'em out, especially if you are working with Lexicons, have an MST implementation, or are working with cryptographic sigs

I'd love to see it grow though and become funded by many companies rather than just us and essentially create a board to oversee the distributions but hearing some of the life changing stories is really neat!

my experience has been really good on twitter to be honest.. I've gotten a lot of support over the years and I'm currently talking honestly/openly about my struggles with a surgery that failed 10 months ago. yup! www.developerhealth.org so far we have distributed about half the money

I've been talking openly about mental health on Twitter but should start to talk about it here too

omg. i'm so sorry to hear that. I will pray for you as well.

Gabe Greenberg @gabegreenberg.bsky.social · 06/06/2023

uggh I'm sorry! you and me both. I spent 8 years chronically sick with mold/mercury poisoning. 3 hip surgeries. core surgery (last August) and now I feel like I'm actually falling apart.

Gabe Greenberg @gabegreenberg.bsky.social · 06/06/2023

back pain is the worst. I had a failed surgery 9 months ago and have struggled sleeping since. last night I got 3 hours. so I'm literally struggling here along side you.

it truly was and is!! the RN adoption I'm seeing behind the scenes is pretty massive.... and the ecosystem has come a long way. I remember RN 0.16 when the Facebook login SDK for android didn't even work haha.. it took a year to get fixed

true... I have all my DSLR's/lenses from 5+ years ago and they are still relevant... watched my first kids birth that I shot on my manual voigtlander 58MM (video) and it was absolutely beautiful... so glad I did that rather than an iPhone
