1/2 The idea it gives me is this old war veteran that comited uncountable war crimes on his youth, the war pretty much went scorched earth and made the planet nigh inhabitable without protective gear. After seeing the error in his ways they turned around to wander the earth and try to salvage/help

Other than catching a power nut at the docks at the sea, I don't think so, the mechanic is waaaaay to janky to justify any reward you could get with it (it has a really short release window, whish i knew the exact frame data).

• Viability 4 The Twin Fists are one of the best earlier weapons, pretty solid damage and easy moveset to learn. However, in high levels of heat it isn't considered optimal. but don't let that hold you down, this game is balanced enough that anything can work if you are skilled enough.

• Recommend: Everyone hates RE5, but i love it (it's my favorite), i think all the criticism is deserved to some extent, the game did stray too much from the RE formula at the time (RE6 went even farther), but with that said you can feel the passion from the developers on each animation.

• Variety: Each playable character has a different set of moves, you have 4 options (each with it's own costumes/loadouts) from base game plus 4 new ones on the DLC, some are more punch focused, some do kicks, some do wrestling moves and Wesker is a beast of it's own kind.

• Viability: Melee combat is integral to RE5's identity, it basically took all that RE4 brought and injected it with steroids, from 2 moves you get a whopping 8, also you can open your inventory mid combat and reload your weapons while animations play out.

Note: Bonus round is kind of a glazing session, i'm not talking about a game where hand-to-hand combat is an optional choice, in this case it is mostly integrated with it's core mechanics (if not the whole appeal of the game), not the usual content.

Recommend 5 This game is not very difficult, even on very hard (with hardcore mode on) the leveling system is pretty generous, the gear and perks is pretty overpowered so you could literally finish it without firing a single bullet.

Variety 5 You have about 40 different options for weapons (some are uniques of course), my personal favorites are "Love and Hate", "Super Heated Saturnite Fist", "Two Step Goodbye" and "Greased Lightning" (shoutout to the GRA variant of the Power Fist and Pushy).

Viability 5 This game perks and gears cover all your bases, pick your preferred weapon (any will do, seriously), rank your unarmed skill and upgrade your endurance stat, be sure to grab Slayer and Super Slam! (throw in a rushing water on top for good measure).

Viability 3.5 + 0.5 from DLC: Poise damage and stance breaking are the name of the game, certain weapons are pretty good applying status effect (specially bleed), but what you are looking for is mostly those juicy charged attacks, jump attacks or running attacks.

Variety 5: This game has so many options you can easily find the perfect fit for your playstyle. in total i would say you have about 15 unarmed weapons fit for your preferred tastes.

Recommend 5: This game with enough tweaking around with stats, gear and talismans can accommodate pretty much any build, of course, fist weapons aren't what i would consider optimal, but it is pretty viable for both PvE and PvP, and the most important, it is pretty fun.
