Last year, #Hacktoberfest sent me the wrong size shirt. This year, they're rewarding event attendance rather than the actual effort of improving and contributing to open-source software. I still regularly wear the shirts that I earned previously. But this year, I'm going to pass.

Despite being neck-deep in Ravenloft lore for Strahd, today I was struck by the urge to create a Detective Noir setting. For my specific flavour of brain, that means: A. Penny Arcade's Automata, and B. Discworld Noir How I might express that in a TTRPG remains to be discovered.

With the latest update, #Homebrewery is now finally running on CodeMirror 6! The main difference for users is that the editor is slightly different, but behind the scenes, huge opportunities are now available that were almost impossible under CM5.

The Ranger used Primeval Awareness during our last session. I had to scramble to see what was within a 1 mile radius - and be thankful it wasn't 6. #dnd #dmproblems In Strahd's village of Barovia, 1 covers the entire village. Whereas 6 would cover almost half the world map.

A recent update to #Homebrewery broke internal linking. I fixed it by hooking an API that I thought was baseline - but many users reported crashes. Fortunately, last night I found an older API that I could use instead, so the next minor release should correct the issue.
