Strange experiments have been going on at the lab.

I have something wonderful I made but haven't found the right time or place to photograph yet and have been working on a huge needle felt project. My flow has been really disrupted this month but hopefully I'll have things to post soonish!

Yes! There are lots of ground squirrels in the region but these guys behaviors and build is noticeably different. There is a state park nearby with a lovely native botanical garden, and rocky beaches and these guys are all over. They love hanging up on little cliff outlooks and talking.

Long bunny spotted in the foliage.

A little green needlefelt doll of a bunny with an extremely long midsection is looking out from it's hiding place among leafs and grass. It has a silly smile on it's face.

A mysterious creature known as the wire nest bunny, from the little game I made. You can play it and learn all about them.

A small rabbit like creature sits on a black and white checkered tile. It is lovingly made of needled felt and it's face conveys a sense of mystery and desire to make a mess of your already messy wires.

P2 Pyron is offering you a ginger candy. Will you accept it?

This is the Jam my game was for. It was such a good excuse to make a bunch of things and push into many new things I've wanted to do for a long time. Jams really are wonderful and I'm so glad I went for it and was a part of it.

I think it comes across pretty clear that it's bad situations and not attacking the concept. The monogamous people in the comic aren't doing so hot either.

My new year's celebration for a long time was to open one of them as midnight rolled over to share with the people I was spending it with. Even having stopped that tradition that oatmeal stout will always be special for me.

Having it close makes such a difference. I got a little organizer for my felt and it turns out the thing keeping me from making things was not being able to cart it all over and grab exactly what I need on a whim at any moment

youtu.be/5UFiKzw1ECw?... Phantasy Star Online had a great soundtrack that really set the mood for the entire game. This song was from the second boss, this big elongated skull worm creature chasing after you. It was so hard when I first encountered it and the song still evokes that feeling to me.

Meteos is a fantastic strange puzzle game with great sound and visuals. Castlevania aria of sorrow is a great GBA game. Tramacenter, Touch Detective, and the Etrian Odyssey are all games I highly recommend depending on what you are in the mood for as well.

If I had pick a color for it I would have to say black, do to the night sky and the absence of the sun's influence. Really once you start thinking about it it's going to end up with wherever you decide that the tricks of light stop being tricks. At it's core all color is an illusion. It's all black.

Admittedly my phone has been through a lot and I suspect the lense is damaged from exposure to chemicals at my old job, but the digital camera is a budget option one from 16 years ago! I look back at who I was and what I've been through in that time and it's like I had better tools all along.

000

Fwiva @fwiva.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

I dug up an old digital camera that's been tucked away and ignored and brought it with me to take photos the other day. The first image is from my phone and the second the old digital camera. I like the dedicated camera so much more! I'm so annoyed! I'm going to have to get into digital cameras now!

I recommend a zip up hoodie with a soft furry lining inside. When it gets cold I have one that I love to wear with nothing else. It keeps me warm but leaving it open plus the furry inside make it still feel like being nude.

It absolutely makes sense. I didn't plant anything for the fall and my tomatoes and my summer plants reached the end of their cycle. It's nice not to have to water, but without something to tend to and water, even with plenty else going on in my life, I'm feeling a bit directionless and empty.

I got some new piercings and the pain and the excitement of it was so much that there were a few moments where I stopped thinking entirely. I feel like I've come away with a new understanding of my body and mind but also I'm left with a feeling of, whaoh what was all that!

Fwiva @fwiva.bsky.social · 12/09/2025

Tomato worms arn't nearly as cute when they don't have time to become fat before I find them. Sorry dude your friends ruined this for you I have eyes trained to see you now.

A tomato worm on a tomato plant, it has not had time to feed on the lush leaves around him and looks withered and alien hanging from the stem.
