I am a bit ambivalent about the meat ‚replacements‘ but recently started using some veggie mince. It’s fine, I don’t taste the difference and texture is really the same. I don’t need vegetarian ham or something such. That’s mostly ultra processed. Just had a vegan masala on the boat. Nice.

Yes. The Taliban is a proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK under the Terrorism Act 2000.

It was first proscribed on 14 March 2001, and it remains on the UK Government’s official list of banned terrorist organisations.

This means it is a criminal offence in the UK to:
• Belong to the Taliban
• Invite support for it
• Arrange meetings for it
• Wear clothing or carry articles that arouse suspicion of membership/support

Wrote recently nature isn’t far away, this is at the stream at the bottom of our house. 3 Bisams. Many mistake them for rats. They’re not. They related to beavers and otters. An invasive but protected species here. We quite like them as they seem relaxed.

Our last two dogs died a year ago. I am a cat-man, as you might have gathered from my extensive reports about them. My wife less so and felt a real emotional loss. She got a Dachshund. Very happy now. He’s a sweetie too. Odi and Chonk - I let you guess who’s who!

On this #Caturday the Chonk isn’t well. He’s had the sneezles for a few days but seemed otherwise OK. Today his breathing was laboured and he was warm. Trip to the Vet. Temp 40°C and a lunginfektion. Jabs, tablets, house arrest. He must be feeling a bit better as he’s trying to get out.
