Rather happy with this one. We used a Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) approach in surveillance of #AMR in #UTI in Indonesia. Working on this rapid surveillance approach for quite a while. doi.org/10.1093/aje/...
A plot showing AMR classifications (resistant vs sensitive) for a number of antibiotics (rows) in patients suspected of UTI in Indonesia. Stratified (columns) by hospital setting (Outpatient vs Inpatients) and clinic/ward. Most antibiotics show resistance in >20% (dark cell) of E.coli/K.pneumoniae species cultured.

2/2 We used a decision curve analysis. That was a first, therefore slight impostor syndrome here. Comments, critique more than welcome. TL;DR: both conventional an extended algorithm not helpful for clinical decision of UTI (and starting empirical antibiotic treatment) #UTI #AMR
A decision curve analysis showing a very small region of uncertainty where a diagnostic algorithm for urinary tract infection in nursing home residents provides extra information. Also the conventional algorithm does not help adequately in diagnosing UTI in this population
