Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 02/09/2026This has been cooking for so long. I am excited for the official release! :) 030
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026It goes without saying that I am absolutely in love with wayfinder. I had a similar setup (no graph, only tickets) which didnt come close. Thank you so much! 000
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026@mattpocock.com I have questions! :) I use wayfinder a lot and it is amazing. At the start it often asks me where to go with this whole thing (specs, mvp, ...) How do I use wayfinder when I am done with the mvp? I want more now. But it doesnt seem to behave as awesome as when you initially call it 100
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026That, along with a lot of dumber optimizations, reduced load time in my app by about 66%. So what do we learn? Benchmarks are fun! :D (And never assume something. Always measure) 010
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026And then, at some point, you realize that Chrome isn't necessarily the fastest solution when you need to decode an image. Even with the 20% WASM tax, JPG and PNG hashing and decoding runs faster in WASM than natively in Chrome. Obviously, this is under my specific circumstances. 100
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Who thought that moving some images from A to B could be that hard? Well, it isn't really. But then: - you need to read the file - hash it to detect duplicates - extract EXIF data - decode it - scale it for speedy thumbnails and feature detection - detect those features to group similar ones 100
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I am gonna start cross posting my linkedIn content here. I feel like it actually belongs more here than there because it is rather random stuff anyways 😬 000
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I looked into it but afaik they had some weird limitation with s3 storage (which would be the cheap option) 010
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I might share a link later but here is a peak. If you wanna try it out now, comment or dm me. I am open for feedback anytime. 010
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 12/08/2026That being said: After going through the painful process of downloading all pictures, the next challenge is sorting. "How do I drag and drop again? Did I delete something? Where did my window go?" I finally had the time to build an app that even my mum can use (hopefully - tbd). 220
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Every year, my mum comes to me and says: "Can you please download all photos from Google Fotos? I want to sort and print them". At this point I am convinced that noone should use Google Fotos and I am actively looking for a better solution. 110
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 07/08/2026I second this take. Validation code should be compiled away. You should end up with pure functions that only test for what you actually want to test. If you go one step further and treat validation code actually as macros, you might even unlock even nicer syntax (but runnable only with build step) 010

Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 16/07/2026This is so cool! My sister discovered lilypond like 10 years ago and is a big fan ever since. Seeing it in Astro makes me happy. She has no idea what Astro is but I will tell her anyways :D 020

Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 30/05/2026Also, I can speak for Germans: most are fine with English and personally I really much prefer the original :D 040
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 30/05/2026I know that LTT contacted those type of people and formed a partnership with them. So it's a win win. Maybe you could try that? :) 110
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Love that! Build time magic always scratches a certain itch for me 020
Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 20/05/2026So I can finally just code and I get a free story? Yep, that sounds perfect :D 120

Fuzzyma @fuzzyma.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Would it be possible to only import a slice of a file as well? E. G. By specifying the slice in the import attributes. That would be kinda useful as well. 110
