Been playing Ring of Red lately, a PS2 turn based strategy game. Think X-com meets Valkyria Chronicles. The games pace is Glacial (Mission 3 took me 2 hours) but it's something i'm really enjoying. Batles are these... On rails Shootouts? it's super rad.

BTW i'm SHOCKED that the SSX tricky part of the vid causes zero issues with Youtubes copyright. I know it's only a short audio sample but i've heard videos being clamed for less. Now im wondering if I can get away with more >:)

I also made a Alt version of my usual template. I ended up not using it but honestly I kinda wish I did just to check what Youtube would have said. The games Title and "Review" Swapping as a nod to the posession mechanic. Sometimes it's good to experiment even if nobodies gets to see it

For those unaware, Youtube has a "Test & Compare" feature when uploading a screenshot. You can choose up to 3 and Youtube will do the rest. And all Ive learned is that 40% of the viewers in the first half hour got to see the other one I made. It told me it could take a week. Here's what I made

So I doing some Research into PS2 games in terms of visuals. I need a nice comparison of how they looked in the early days of the Console. And I did not realise how quickly devs established the range of art styles that would define the PS2 Library one year after release. (Not even including FFX)

The "Goon" mod (Yes really) for Your Only Move Is Hustle. Is super intresting, as it's basically a single player AI opponent. Sure it's mostly just a moving target, it's still super rad for just messing around.

Also I dont have time to make a proper video right now. But Four Warriors of Light is a poster child for Higher resolutions or upscaling destroying effects. It was created with the DS limitations in mind The ripply water is now just a texture moving in a circle, Tree's just wobble
