Realistically the original conversation is solely about furries being against pup hoods. However you’re now bringing up literal criminal act just to justify demonizations of pups/furs. Be serious.

Also not to confuse with things more complex than a google AI search but the sociological definition of deviance is more cut and dry. It’s simply anything that defies social norms, and is also meant to be used in an offensive or derogatory manner. By definition CRIMES are a deviant behavior, but so was being left handed for a long time.

MANY are “platonic”, not just “very few”.
Pet play as a community exists outside of the twitter/bsky sphere and it’s very common to find nonsexual spaces for the activity. This also applies to Furry spaces however the whole idea is that they LOOK more child friendly.

Also kink/fetishes (different terms) aren’t inherently sexual. They overlap with sexuality very steeply but it’s a bad faith argument to associate everything kink related with being purely sexual.

Also realistically, you’re a grown ass man with the ability to scroll past discussions you don’t feel like being apart of, not doing so feels even more childish to me than two communities engaging in debate over perceived morality, which is very important to queer people as we have been demonized for not fitting a “moral standard” for a long time.

Time and place for a “I’m above it all” attitude. This isn’t the place for it.
