FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 13hHe’s asking himself, “do I want a belly rub badly enough to bestir myself from this comfy pillow?” 2253
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 17hI understand they are declining in numbers, and I feel my own experience reflects that. I’ll go years and years without seeing one. 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 17hWho knows? Their night vision is so much better than mine. There’s a lot of night wildlife around here, one reason they’re indoor cats. But the thing that really riles them up is when they see another cat. 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/10/2026That rare afternoon autumn sun might have brought him out. Also, a lot of caterpillars marching across the path. Not sure if those are food. 010
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Another guest appearance: this beautiful grey heron giving me the profile shot, also at the UW horticulture park. Never get tired of looking at these dramatic birds. 1132
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Guest appearance: this wriggly little fellow down in the UW horticulture park. I so rarely see them anymore. I shooed him off the bike path and into the nice undergrowth. 262
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/10/2026My guess is they saw some wayfarer of the night like a raccoon, possum, coyote or, the worst, another cat. 000
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/10/2026They were watching out the window at night when I came in and turned on the light. Took the pic and turned it off again so that they could carry on with their secret cat business. 623416
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 06/10/2026lol. Had never seen that. They always look like this. Very sweet 010
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Guest appearance by Friday Harbor local. There were five of these seals hauled-up on different nearby slips, lazing the afternoon away. 2111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Only head-to-head butts accepted. Butt-to-head butts not accepted. 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Seen in Sidney, BC, in our lovely and much put-upon neighbor Canada, proving definitively that when you have a cat in your lap you really can’t move. 0202
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Mackers says hello by mushing his face into mine. 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 29/09/2026If this looks like an indistinguishable blotch of black fur, that’s because it’s Mackers giving me his usual close-range greeting. 1111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Oh, they could have built three houses in the time it’s taken them to renovate this one. But they appear to be close! Now working on the yard 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 26/09/2026It’s his turn to keep an eye on the workmen next door. 1221
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Cats who woke mom up at 4:45am for breakfast resting from their labors. 1232
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 22/09/2026The laundry was dried and folded, and then the night crew got to work, providing their patented maxi-wrinkle service. 1163
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Yes! I find it better to trim just the needle ends and not try to get too much more. It means I have to do it more frequently, but that is ok with these two since they’re well conditioned to it. If they ever felt discomfort or pain, I’d sort of have to restart the conditioning. 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Here we have house spiders that get the ones that the cats don’t! 111
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 15/09/2026There is a little fly resting on the inside of this lampshade. It is very tricky and hard to catch. It has been here for several days, and last night the lamp almost landed on dad’s head! 3445
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Rain is rattling on the skylight. Mackers likes it not. 1272
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 12/09/2026As it turns out, I had just started Romeo and Juliet and got so sleepy after one or two pages that I had to lay down and take a nap. Enter cat stage right… 000
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 12/09/2026He was moderately unhappy that I was lying down, rather than sitting, because this makes it harder for him to roll onto his back for a bellyrub. But still purring in spite of his irritated expression. 020
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 12/09/2026He’s stretched out on my stomach tonight, keeping a close watch on me 3726
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 11/09/2026He just spotted a little bug flying around inside. 0173
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 08/09/2026This is one of his things: burying his face in my wrist while I scratch his belly. Go figure. 0163
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 07/09/2026He is so needy at this time of night! Nonstop belly rubs and head scratches had better be forthcoming, and be quite liberal about it if you please. 0291
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Usually, when he wriggles, it means I’ve got him at the wrong time of day for this and his energy is too high or whatever, so I just stop and he gets his treat anyway. But today he was able to get back into the zone, which is kind of amazing for Mackers. 051
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Mackers and I had to deal with a bout of the wrigglies, but we collected ourselves, calmed down, and made it through to the protein puff reward at the end. 1151
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Scuppers gave a little meow of protest each time I selected the next claw (though not when I snipped it) but he was also purring the whole time, so not very convincing. 0142
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Crazy hail storm, sounds like. I hear it is getting worse in many regions 000
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Yes, it looked epic, but then sort of blew away without much drama. Mackers was paying attention, tho. 342
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Thunderstorm brewing. Mackers had better head to the basement. 191
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Mackers’ favorite person de-lapped him and left the room, so he’s waiting patiently for her return. 0212
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Mackers keeping an eye on the neighbor’s backyard. All is quiet this morning. 1242
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Napping on the rug just like, yes, just like … a dog! He soon recovered his senses and has been making the round of pillows, sofas and laps. 1221
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Indeed they do! Catnip for scuppers and protein puffs for Mackers. If they’re “trained” at all, the treats have been a big part of it. 121
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 24/08/2026For Mackers too, of course. Wouldn’t be fair to leave one of them with nice sharp claws. As usual, Mackers patiently waits for this confusing process to end so that he can get back to his own little projects. 182
FuzzBrothers @fuzzbrothers.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Yikes, but typical. Cats!!!! I don’t really know why these two brothers take it so well, but I make sure to pay promptly with catnip and protein puffs. 010
