❤️📺 Gundam Build Fighters Try (7.2) It’s not Try’s fault it had big shoes to fill. Didn’t help its shortcomings at all though. Story and characters were weak. Fights floated between good and ok, rarely impressed. Did enjoy Fumina’s character, the many G Gundam references and showing some SD love.

❄️📺 Macross 7 (Rewatch) Yeah I just like this show too much. It’s full of problems big and small, but I love getting so much time to experience so many moneys with characters I like. Basara Mylene and Gamlin are definitely still my favorite Macross trio.

❄️👾 9 Years of Shadow (9.8) Simple, sweet story that speaks on forgiveness and understanding for ourselves and one another. Lighter difficulty for metroidvania combat and navigation, but some bosses will still put in the work. Very cohesive gem.

Lots of wasted setting details like the events behind Heaven’s Fall or actually delving into examples of Vers classism undermining their people. Action delivered, Inaho and Seylum still rocked. ☃️ MS Igloo 2 (5.3) Milking a good thing until it runs dry is what happened. The short stories lose focus and creep into the supernatural in a way that’s unnatural for gundam. Said stories and characters also have poor buildup and payoff. The fights are still great to see, but that’s it.

☃️ Puella Magi Madoka Magica (9) I get it now. Every second conveys so much while forcing you to question everything that happens. And with a good cast of compelling characters to keep it all going. Without spoilers, it’s impressive to write a magical girl show where the goal is to never become one.

About what I thought SD would be then. It still sounds fun to me so I’ll probably give it a watch. And I feel the watch order. I started with 0079 straight down to CCA, then I started veering off as I felt like it. Only rule I had for myself was that Turn A would be the last mainline entry

Victory Gundam has a lot of problems, but surprisingly Uso wasn’t one of them. He’s great and relatable start to finish, and the scenes with his mom are some of the most genuine Gundam has ever been

New difficulty balancing and revamped combat was a welcome surprise. Remake is significantly harder than any version of 3, and that kept me on my toes even as a seasoned vet. No question this is my GOTY. I hope more people continue to pick it up and experience 3 again or for the first time.

Not sure if that first part came off negative, so some positives - Tamako and the core cast are very charming - you feel everyone’s love for each other 24/7 - great indirect questions of worth and emotional exploration - feeling the impact Tamako’s mom had on the community and their family

🦃 Tamako Market (7.7) Soothing show about community, belonging and maturing very gradually. This is pure slice of life. It moves at its own pace and episodes center around one character’s focus very well. It felt both cozy, which I liked, and aimless, which was hard to stay interested in at times.
