I didn't get to Gen Con this weekend, but on the plus side I DID teach my 12yo Merchants and Marauders and she had a blast playing as a pirate, so who REALLY had the best 4 days in gaming this year?

i haven't played the LCG, but I did try 3E when it came out. It was very "pandemic-y" in my estimation. More about trying to manage tokens, less about playing through a weird horror story.

ah yeah, 2E was so clunky and the rulebook was terrible, but had so much character. My friend owns 2E but i'll be tempted to nab this. If the components and a better rulebook help smooth out the gameplay, it could be worth it. 3E was so disappointing for veering so far off track
