but i'd say all you need to read is the 1992 series and the Exiles . and treat everything else as an elseworlds story .

spider-man 2099 (1992) #1 by peter david. its relatively short , under 60 issues , but there is also a short run of Exiles with Miguel . which has him traveling the multiverse with some x-men related characters . there's also the Marvel Now 2099 run and the new Symbiote 2099 runs +

4. what if ben parker never died during the home invasion ? 5. what if the Hand was a religious cult similar to the Court of Owls ? 6. what if Hawkeye had NEVER been redeemed thanks to Tony Stark ? 7. what if Miles Morales was around during 616's civil war event ?

// ooc : i had a few fun what if ideas . 1. what if bucky became the red guardian and one of the last modern remnants of the soviet union ? 2. what if daredevil was abandoned by jack , and a social worker instead of a lawyer ? 3. what if punisher was a cop turning against the system ?

I am very sorry for inactivity . i've been dealing with health issues . a poor healthcare system has me waiting to find out if i have a horrible lymph node infection, mastoiditis or lymphoma. you'd think blood tests, a ct scan and checking ears (or cleaning them) would be done the day i went to +

" liar . " miguel muttered . " let's go hom-- . . . . back to my lab , the loft . . " he pulled his mask over his now bloodied face . " hm ? "

000

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

he did this for her . grabbing another drunken bigot , and again , biting him . dropping the blooded , knocked out man and wiping his messy face with his forearm . " i needed-- . . . Lyla -- " he couldn't even think of a lie . and he knew she'd catch on , so , the bloodied spider went silent

000

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

and he crossed the line , sinking his fangs into the mans neck . injecting him with his paralyzing venom , and getting his fangs bloodied . he knew she was around and dropped the now , temporarily paralyzed mans body . turning around , staring into the dim alleyway . " gwendolyn ? "

000

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

the urge to bite , to harm him was present . he likely harassed her . he deserved it , right ?

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

above . violently webbing , and clawing each one of the men , until only one left . the one with a broken nose . he drew a gun , and miguel couldn't help it . the arachnid in his genetics longed for blood , for prey . rolling up his mask , he held the man with a deathly tight grip . hesitating .

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

he couldn't help himself . he was swinging over . in costume , perched outside the bar , watching her exit from afar . he was about to follow , keeping a grand distance , enough to utilize the enhanced senses . but seeing riled up , violent men leave the bar cussing her out . he'd drop from +

Lyla wasn't buying it , and Miguel was trying to convince himself otherwise . " right , okay , Miguel ! "

000

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Miguel asked Lyla for updates , every few minutes . " you really want to keep her safe , huh ? " Lyla questioned , tilting her head . " something like that . " " even though she's more than capable ? " " I know she can shocking handle herself . . . but in Nueva ? you never know . "

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

" she's so stubborn , obnoxious even . she's shocking set on being this lone wolf . " lyla giggled . " sounds like someone I know . " and he gave her a dead pan stare .

010

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

he'd be lying if he said he hadn't had Lyla track her whereabouts . nothing exact , but enough that he had an eye on her . to ' keep her safe ' but moreso , in his mind ; the closest they'd get . . . for now . " she's something . " Lyla remarked . " shocking rights , she is . "

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

the corporate , capitalistic dystopia that was Nueva was not a pleasant thought .

he might've abandoned Alchemax , but he was still a brilliant geneticist and tinkerer . and he was still an addict to Rapture , albeit , not by choice . though he'd never admit it ; he was HOPING gwendolyn would return to his lab and loft . the thought of her being alone , and being alone in +

110

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

miguel scoffed . one in the same , difference being ; he'd never admit it , he'd just take it out on others through cruel insults , sarcasm and cynicism seething at every exchange . he had returned to his lab , mask off , sunglasses on . lyla sitting on his desktop as he worked away .

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

peter david not only gave us the greatest hulk stories ever, but also made THE successor to peter parker ( sorry ben and miles , but miguel is much more original and superior ! plus CDB voiced him ! ). too shocking bad 2026 is looking like David's vision of 2099 more and more each day . //

" pretty sad shocking life if your entire life is being alone , bottling things up and being anti - social " miguel o'hara the hypocrite . " i'll be at my lab , if you're swinging by , say hi to Lyla . she's been shocking missing you . . " passing her shoulder , then stopping .

sʜᴏᴄᴋs sᴀᴋᴇ. @futureswebhead.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

" that's better " miguel chuckled in amusement . " look , i'm not scolding you . nor am i upset-- but you're going to end up like shocking Brock , maybe even Kaine if you keep this 'lone wolf' act up . " the worry was present on his face . . . . underneath a mask , hidden .
