My fetish is cars that shouldn’t exist. This weekend I got to drive two of them. I love them both. The Vehicross is solid and sporty feeling. More truck-like than I was expecting. The Hummer EV is big. Ridiculously. But it embraces its absurdity and is surprisingly charming. It drives great.

Got the van up on the lift and man she is grody. Valve cover leaking (this is one of the fire hazards). Radiator plugged Coolant line seeping Oil pan leaking Everything is covered in so much schmoo I can’t spot other leaks. Got a solvent sprayer and some degreaser today to start cleaning :/

New shoes on the X1. Got some wide-boys. This car has grown on me over the years. The practicality of a small SUV, but most of the fun of a sports car, still. Great ride quality but it’s quick, agile and engaging, still.

RockAuto had 1 single option for the Van’s air filter. None of the parts stores had any at all. I bought 4 of them. They’re all new old stock, which I find really charming. The old filter was pretty donezo. Also discovered what appears to be a factory air straightener. Hope this helps 🤞

A little more on the van- It has a bog under heavy load and of the switches are oxidized and need new grease. The inside rear carpet is an absolute wreck and the speedo is really bouncy. Beyond that it was well taken care of. It made roughly 45 minutes down the freeway and back, so that’s a win

I exercise routinely but it’s time to take my weight seriously. I need to drop like 35lb. My knee isn’t getting less aggravated, my back is starting to hurt because my bed can’t support me, and I think my tiny bladder problems are from excessive visceral fat. Currently at 255. Goal is 220. LFG.
