Our stage, bigger and better than last year, can host all kinds of performances, chances to talk or show off to a room. Put on a big presentation about a specialist subject, share your impressions of celebrities, host a debate club, or get the band back together forms.gle/qzf2qaJUURTSNfrBA

With enough ticket sales, we can justify moving the Dealers Den to a larger room and open up half a dozen or more extra spaces. Our wait list will be contacted, first come - first served, when this happens, so add yourself now: forms.gle/fW4TL4kCVm1goTPX6

Remember to stop by hiportsmouthhotel.co.uk to get your bedroom booked for the duration of your stay. All rooms are handled direct with the hotel, rather than through convention ticket sales, including all room shares. Or, maybe you can find a different hotel nearby?

A bit nervous about performing on stage, teaching a class or hosting an activity you're interested in? As one of the country's smallest furry conventions, we can guarantee you a small, quiet audience, and few, if any, big name stars to compare yourself to. Maybe that'll help?

We all had a great time at Further South this year, why don't you join us for 2027

One constantly apparent difference between Further South and other furry conventions is our city-centre location. No hanging around the hotel all hours of the day, head out and enjoy the local shops, restaurants and tourist spots while you visit, then come back for the fursuits and DJs later.

032

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

You know what's the best part of coming to a furry convention? Hanging out with all your friends for a few days. Make sure to invite them all to join you here, next year. (and with a small event like this, enough of your group will help shape the whole convention)

032

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Including a couple of people whose registration timed out because they didn't pay fast enough (and will need to input their details again) we're already on as many badge sign-ups for next year as we had last time around.

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Indoors or out, we have to have the important Fursuit Games event, get all those fursuiters running, jumping, kicking footballs, falling over each other and more. Come along and join in next year

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Every year, we pack Main Stage full of hours of music each evening. With at least three, depending on ticket sales perhaps four, evenings to fill, we need a lot of variety of different music to play. Check out our DJ sign-up page: forms.gle/JY5MDHFZSYSMMZP47

010

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Remember to organise your room shares. With hotel bedrooms booked direct with the venue, these are outside of our control. Holiday Inn doesn't regularly offer single person rooms, so splitting the cost with a friend saves you a lot (two friends with some room types)

033

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

If the weather is with us, Further South has not only a huge, sprawling park right outside for us to play on, but a pier nearby as well, with rides, mini golf and fish & chips. All going well, we can make good use of those facilities again.

020

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

As well as discussion panels, meet-ups and lectures, we also have space on the schedule for you to perform on the stage. Want to play music, put on a comedy show, make balloon animals, or anything else on a stage in front of a crowd? Let us know the details forms.gle/qzf2qaJUURTSNfrBA

042

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Karaoke, a must-have for any convention. Come show off your singing voice next year.

010

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

The convention centre is right next to the hotel's restaurant and the swimming pool, which is open most of the day. So, if you want a nice relaxing (or energetic) swim in between events or bright and early before we get started for the day, we have you covered.

031

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Every evening (and all going well on our expansion budget, all day too) we host a gaming lounge for people to relax, make new friends, play some games, or just sit and rest between high energy activities and bouncing around the dance floor. Check it out next time you're along.

020

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Fursuits get hot, in case nobody had told you before now. While Further South takes place early in the year, there is still a risk of overheating in full suits or while being active. Watch out for signs of heatstroke, get plenty of properly hydrating drinks, and check out our fursuit lounge fans.

020

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

As before, we're hosting a Dealers' Den on the Saturday and Sunday. Want to join our waiting list ready for if someone drops out or we expand to a larger room? forms.gle/NXk4V3zQ4rESD2ne7 Slots are mostly first come - first served, so sign up soon.

Calling for DJs, we have openings for you at Further South next year. Three, possibly four, evenings to pack full of music, get in touch with our team: forms.gle/JY5MDHFZSYSMMZP47 Applications open until December 31st, after which slots will be chosen and scheduled.

Holiday Inn, Portsmouth is located right on the south coast of the city, just opposite the sprawling park of Southsea Common, across the road from Clarence Pier, and around the corner from Castle Road and Palmerston Road shops, lots to see and do in the area.

With a new, dedicated Fursuit Lounge team for next year's convention, we're upgrading the space for all you eager suiters. More and bigger fans, plenty of water and snacks to replenish your drained nutrients, and more storage solutions. Come check it all out.

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Further South's audio-visual team is well stocked with experienced staff and equipment, eager to bring you many hours of music each evening, a packed line-up of DJs and not forgetting the slot for karaoke too. Big, powerful speakers, bright colourful lights, heaps of cables, we have it all.

000

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

This year, you can use input discount code FS1 on the hiportsmouthhotel.co.uk site, just next to the date and number of rooms field. Be aware that this only covers a limited set of options. Want to skip the breakfast or get a premium room, you'll need to do so without the discount code.

011

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Want to help fill our events schedule? It can be as simple as a drawing lesson or a meet up for fans of that new TV series, or something more unusual. Show examples of balloon animals, teach people hypnosis, host a card tower building contest? forms.gle/j2zkZxxUwZimDJWJ6

000

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

The Further South team eventually managed to herd almost all our nearly 30 fursuiters into one photo to show them off. Why not come along and bring yours next year and make that job even harder for them.

0123

Further South @furthersouth.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Our team worked hard setting up the stage last convention, and next year it's going to be even bigger and better. Want to sit and watch, or better yet get up on the stage yourself? Come and join us in March furthersouth.uk

Early booking period may be over, but you can still claim your tickets at reg.furthersouth.uk, hopefully our new £75 price point isn't too much. 50 of you signed up in the last few weeks, if that rate keeps up it'll be 175 by the end of the year, and then our team will start to panic. Keep it going.

Exciting news from the front lines of our early-booking reg discount. After counting up the numbers of single-day passes, there are now more people fully booked and paid for the quietest day next year than we had on the busiest day of 2025. Here's hoping those numbers keep going up just as fast.
