furiouzmetz.bsky.social @furiouzmetz.bsky.social · 06/10/202631 Day 5: The Menu (2022). This was a great watch. Strong acting all around, absolutely gorgeous cinematography of the food, and far funnier than I expected. Special props to Hong Chau as Elsa, my favorite character in the movie. 111
furiouzmetz.bsky.social @furiouzmetz.bsky.social · 05/10/202631 Day 4: Late Night With the Devil (2023). This was a fun watch, with pastiches of figures like James Randi and Anton LaVey. It sort of loses the "lost recording of a late-night show" bit at the end for some entertaining, ironic twists, but I'll take it. 011

furiouzmetz.bsky.social @furiouzmetz.bsky.social · 04/10/202631 Day 3: Prey (2022). Trachtenberg did what the Predator fanbase has been asking for ever since Predator 2: a Predator movie set earlier in Earth's history. Amber Midthunder did a great job as the main protagonist, but my personal favorite was Dakota Beavers as her brother Taabe, a Comanche jock. 100

This felt like a love letter not only to the first Alien movie but to the series as a whole—yes, even Prometheus. Some callbacks were a bit too blatant, but nothing that upset me much. David Jonsson as Andy was incredible. 110
furiouzmetz.bsky.social @furiouzmetz.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Catching up. 31 Day 1: Hellraiser (2022). Jaime Clayton's role as the Hell Priest is the best version of the character we've gotten since Doug Bradley. Using the sensation-seeking former drug addict as the principal character and tying the puzzle box to addiction and its consequences was smart. 100
