Spotify straight up replaced a favourite song of mine with a different mix under the same title and I'm not impressed, the song has way less impact. I don't know if it was the artist, label or Spotify directly... But frankly: Fuck this, I'm going back to buying FLACs directly.

Tesco still does, AFAIK. I gave up on Asda after so many substitutions and poor quality food, but they keep the price too. Sainsbury's does give you the difference back but only as a voucher against future orders. One reason I just go to the store to do my shopping now.

It might also be the sheer lack of holiday time there too so people feel pressured to do chores on the weekend etc. A lot more folks work M-F 9 to 5 here, it's kinda weird how different it is, tbh!

You both need better people in your life. Those sound like assholes. Local meets in the UK are often ~150 people now and people often travel between them but we have 3 bigger cons (at ~3200, ~2100 ~300 folks respectively) and so many smaller ones, two festivals. Our community is strong AF though.
