I was in the first couple of thousand users of b3ta and was active until Reddit drew me away 😖 I was patiently taught how to photoshop by Lemony and others taught me flash and animated gifs. Everything I made was shit but b3ta basically set up my career and my lifelong internet addiction. Thanks?

I have less issue with AI in the classroom than weirdly anthropomorphised AI in the classroom. Presented as a tool AI has uses. Presented as some kind of emotionally manipulative tool to control children - I hate it.

Like I do get why those settings are used - many if not most people are griefers. I just can't help feel there must be another solution which encourages wider discussion between a broader, well intended audience.

It's really hard to integrate with any kind of community on here when almost every post I want to interact with won't let me because the author doesn't follow me. It kind of feels like the model is "if we weren't familiar in the old platform you missed the boat". Just kind of makes for a dead vibe.

Watching Stath Lets Flats for the first time. Is this the most underrated British comedy of the last decade? It’s bloody hilarious and rich with characters. Granted the premise is “what if an 8 year old was a grown man” but it’s so silly and good hearted and full of quotable lines. Needs more love!
