What are the dimensions of that field, especially left? Even I could hit a home run there

Enormous benefits to his own personal wealth, I presume

I don’t think so. Trump, for all his faults, had charisma that I’ve never seen from Kennedy Then again, I figured Trump would turn everybody off with his general assholery and that wasn’t at all true

They are putting it all on a platter for Dems. Many voters have shown that they are willing to believe a lot of his lies but this one can’t get past the reality of peoples’ own financial situations Best political message I’ve seen this cycle: “Trump is getting richer. Are you?”

If you call any GOP lawmaker’s office and say any of these things on the phone the staff will hang up after saying they don’t tolerate that language. Because everyone gets held to a lower standard than the president apparently

Yeah Google is one of the first things that comes to mind when I think about why ai sucks. Makes me wonder people citing it as a plus had ever used a functional search engine before ai

“America 250 good vibes” lol. Seems that train left the station a while ago.. and that would have been such an easy win for Trump et al but they blew it like everything else

Hopefully it’s a moot point and Collins will be gone, but if she wins narrowly and has any hope for a future in electoral politics, I think she might reconsider putting in more anti- Roe SCOTUS Justices. Maybe not likely, but possible

2/ people write off Dems but ignore that Dems have had near unanimous opposition to trump scotus picks even when the politics were not as clear cut, and we’ve only been 1 or 2 votes shy from stopping them, at least on Kavanaugh and Barrett

Funk Dr @funkdr.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
True and he sucks, but it’s exactly why we need as many senate seats as we can get. If we can get a majority without him then we can stop a SCOTUS appointment. Even if it’s close, Murkowski and maybe even Collins could help stop Trump from treating someone truly insane

And not just that.. even what reporting their is, Trump and the GOP have spent a decade + priming their supporters for dismissing anything that paints them negatively as being fake

Funk Dr @funkdr.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Yep. They use counterfactual accusations of hypocrisy to justify their real abuses. I’ve said that sentence about lots of things - the way Trump talks about the filibuster, the theft of the SCOTUS seat, Trump encouraging his own voters to commit voter fraud, now this
000
Funk Dr @funkdr.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
2/ every single Dem senator currently serving who was a senator at the time voted against the 3 Trump SCOTUS judges. Joe Manchin, Joe Donelly, and Heidi Heitcamp are the sole Dems who gave a vote for *any* of the three and they are all gone

Funk Dr @funkdr.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Maybe it’s naive but if a seat opens during Trump II and we control the Senate I think we’d have a good shot at blocking replacement. The politics are different than they’ve ever been, and it’d be the first shot to block a seat since McConnell et al stole their seat

Look the fiscal responsibility™️ plan is this: we cut revenue by slashing taxes on the richest people and corporations while also adding a bunch of spending on, yes, the military, but also gold plating the Oval Office etc, and then have the president destabilize the entire global economy. Viola

I thought he said it was the only NBA game with a 7:30 tip off? Assume they had the timestamps of the texts and felt like they were being very clever, though it doesn’t explain the NCAA men confusion And regardless still lol that the thought of a women’s game never even crossed their minds

I assume the goalposts are going to get moved to them whining about him having a decent seat for the game

Yes, this is great to access especially big traditional outlets like NYT or WaPo, but AFAIK it’s not going to get you access to something like TPM

Wait so DOJ is giving the GOP staff on judiciary all this information and keeping it from Dems? I think Chuck Grassley and Todd Blanche have some explaining to do

This is why he wants to keep interest rates low in the face of inflation. It’s a lizard brained version of macro economics that can’t see past the next election but it’s pretty obvious what his brain is doing

But this one is illegal and a blatant affront to the first amendment in that it’s being promoted using taxpayer money - taxpayer money that they now get to put in their pockets Fuck everything about this

How can anyone still believe his evidence-free fraud accusations when he things like this about California of all places? I don’t think anyone truly believes this, including Trump.. but lots of people pretend to because it’s good for their politics. Fuck them all. They aren’t patriots

They have a base ready to spin that into all sorts of fanciful tales. Seems like that was the point to me, to give the MAGA conspiracy factory plenty of material to run with.. and I assume Schmitt thought the optics of asking about it all in the hearing would suit those purposes well

I wonder how many people right now are watching a replay of that Iowa / Maryland game looking for a shot of Smith in the crowd

Life is just so unfair to Trump. He can’t simultaneously be a complete asshole to our allies and also rely on them to do us any favors

I guess him getting Smith to admit he went to Atlanta when Willis shit was hitting the fan would have been great for Q anon types in a frenzy then when Smith said he hadn’t gone to Atlanta, Schmidt really thought he had him. He thought he hit the jackpot and would be a hero for about 5 secs

Is it common for students to be doing a lot of computer work before third grade? My daughter is in elementary school and wasn’t using a computer at school regularly til 5th. I set her up with my old computer though and she did online typing on her own so she’s ahead of the curve I guess

I don’t understand this.. are you saying it’s unfair to people who are well-off to get by on one income and choose to be stay at home parents, but apparently aren’t affluent? Seems like the exception more than the rule. Even if I were in that situation I would want working parents to have childcare
