Which of these is better? I am undecided. I feel like the darker hair makes him look a lot softer.

Ferne was born in the South Shroud, in the cabin they currently live in! Since I'm still not sure if Fjalar will persist or become Vaxis, I'll answer for both; Fjalar was born in Golmore, and Vaxis was born in a smaller settlement outside the main city in Garlemald.

Ferne would have something equivalent to bluesky so they could follow a bunch of farming and bird watching accounts to scroll through every day. No shot it would be used to keep in touch with friends, they'd just love all the stuff they could learn.

I don't get paid for another 2 weeks and we're already drowning as is, so as much as I'm sick to fucking death of needing help, I may as well try. They'll fee me hard if I can't make that payment, and I'm in a deep enough hole from my pay coming late as it stands. ko-fi.com/lilyswake

Ferne didn't have a good relationship with their grandparents until recently. Well, their grandmother is dead, but their grandfather is still alive. For most of their childhood, their grandparents treated them like a dark spot on the family, proof of their mother's "bad choices." Only in his older →

Yotsuyu's story will make me cry every single time I play through it. She's such a tragic character. And I mean, I get that she did awful things, and I'm not excusing them, but it's easy to hurt for her. She's very well written, imo.

Ferne is very gentle and kind! They're a part time healer, even though their conjury isn't particularly advanced. Still, they love being someone that others can come to with their injuries.

People love to say ic isn't ooc until someone is rping something they don't like, then ic and ooc are the same thing suddenly. This isn't about anything particular, just the general culture around fiction and writing. It makes me tired.

Ferne being half-Keeper, and half-Wildwood, they're a smiiidge taller than max height miqo'te, but they're still pretty average at 5'6". They don't really think about their height, so nothing particular there.

Just had some dynamis dc nonsense in my roulette. Tank who refused to turn on their stance because it makes it harder to keep aggro with aoe??? and a dragoon who just just kept running in circles the whole time ignoring all their positionals. This is why I can never do the relic steps with duties.

I'm going to answer this for Vic and Judas because they're the most tragic. Their relationship has been extraordinarily traumatic. Vic was not good to Judas in the start, but through a matter of circumstance, he couldn't leave. This led to codependency because of how he was manipulated. Now, →

Unbeknownst to them, their relationship with their father is good! Ferne isn't aware they know their father, but sentimentality won out, and he visits them for herbs sometimes, and keeps an eye on them from the wood. Ferne doesn't take it well. They try to set reasonable goals for their level of function, so if they fail at something, they get pretty hard on themselves about it. It's deeply upsetting for them.

030

decay ‪𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊‬ @fungalspores.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I'm not going to say /no one else/ would understand, but their partner, Aidra, is literally a stag. He's essentially an auspice, so he takes a human form to be around Ferne and spend time with them and build a life, but he'll always need time to go spend with his herd, they're still his family, too.

010

decay ‪𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊‬ @fungalspores.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I'd say yes. Ferne has learned to set reasonable goals for themselves, because their ability is limited. As far as their moral ideals and such go, goodness yes, Ferne is a goody two shoes if ever there was one.

010

decay ‪𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊‬ @fungalspores.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Difficult! If Ferne feels guilty over something, nothing will do but trying to fix whatever it is. Until they've done everything they can to right the situation, they won't be able to rest without anxiety. This is true even of small situations.

Fee smells like the earth, with a light floral note. Soil from gardening, that warm smell of the outdoors when you're standing in the middle of a forest? And a gentle spritz of lavender and balsam.
