The sky was blue in 1911, too: Sergei Prokudin‑Gorsky photographed a young Kazakh family crossing the Golodnaia Steppe in 1911, in what today straddles Uzbekistan & Kazakhstan. Thanks to his three‑filter RGB‑like color technique, we can see their world in tones very close to how it was.
