I just finished Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. What a wonderful book. It was difficult because the main character is a teenage shit head but it's so amazing getting to see all his messy thoughts and not quite sure how to be a functioning human. #booksky

Catcher in the Rye cover. The main character has a red hunting hat with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and smoke from the cigarette turning into birds over his head

Just finished The Henchperson's Guide to Unionizing by Marshall J Moore. It was really fun but maybe a tad saccerine sweet. I'm glad I read it. #booksky

A picture of the cover of the book. Red and yellow lettering on top of the silhouette of a spooky mansion.

I just finished Jurassic Park. It was excellent. I love getting to compare a book to its movie. The characters were so different and more complex in this one. It really wasn't afraid to make you dislike them.

The Jurassic Park book cover by Michael Crichtonwith a white background and a black silhouette of a T Rex.

I just finished Gwendy's Button Box by Stephen King and Richard Chizmar. I loved it. It really sucked me in and was both dark and uplifting. #booksky

Why isn't Pepper Ann lauded for how brilliant and real it was?

I hope you're liking it. I think they're tons of fun but I feel similarly about binge reading. I have to toss in some other genres or easily accomplished books between them.

I just finished the 7th book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. This series is very fun but hoo boy, this book was SO long. I read a lot but I'm not very fast and this one just kept on going. I'll of course finish the series but I'm ready for a break. #booksky

I thought it was great. It really escalated the fun of the unreliable narrator trope for me! I'm excited to see how they turn it into a movie

Congratulations! How exciting. I've learned a lot from your work. It got me over my anxiety to use them for my insulin resistant type 1. My numbers have never been better

I bought probably a dozen plums this summer. I love them. The first two were magical and all of the rest were trash. We'll of course try again next year but such a shame.

I really liked that. I had never considered scheduling a fight. What a smart idea. Thank you

It was a really good interview and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. I will say that it's always disappointing when you are reminded that even the fun things in life, like girl scout cookies, often have a dark side.

I just finished Of Mice and Men. I somehow had never read it and was blown away. Sometimes you read a classic and it's pretty good but maybe didn't age well but there's no mistaking why this one's a classic.

We went to Knott's the same day as a middle school outing so there were about 50 kids to every adult. We scolded so many kids that were cutting and the answer was always "but my friends are up there". After about 20 times we just let it happen.
