Fulgur is small, loud, enthusiastic Shetona. Brynja is a taller, quiet, reserved Rava. Overall, they compliment each other. For example, Fulgur's enthusiasm and impulsivity often brings a smile to Brynja's lips, and Brynja's reserved nature often makes Fulgur think twice (or once) before acting.

Even after a few weeks in Tuliyollal, Fulgur's still finding new sights to see, and excuses to drag Brynja along with her. #Gposers | #Viera

Fulgur was pretty much smitten from the first moment she saw Brynja, and has only grown more infatuated over time. Brynja's too reserved to have properly fallen, yet. Though she's stumbled enough to be quite fond of the confusing little Shetona.

Brynja might let out a small sound of pain, but she wouldn't lose her cool or composure over it. Fulgur's toes are metal, so whatever she stubs it on is probably coming out of it worse. She might still have a bit of a swear about it, simply because it happened, and the table probably IS a bellend.

For Fulgur, it depends what she's doing. Petting a cat, holding hands, or writing a love letter would be with her right (organic) hand. Firing a gun, picking a lock, or filing taxes would be with her left (mechanical) hand.

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 02/10/2026

Fulgur is very small for a Viera. Her growth was suppressed, to prevent her outgrowing her electrope implants, which left her shorter than any of the other tall races. Though it's frustrating to usually be the shortest person in a group, she embraces it as a charm point.

In terms of Brynja's canon, I tend to interpret the broader events of the quests to have happened. But, the way we experience them as players is through Hildibrand's flamboyant (possibly concussed) retelling of the events.

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 27/09/2026

Fulgur had a building collapse on her, and sustained near-fatal injuries. But, she was saved, and given electrope prosthetics to repair/replace/mitigate the damage. Most of how it impacts her life is pretty obvious. The prosthetics give her mobility, but she can't use them all the time.

I realised that I got distracted away from my original plan for Fulgur. Someone seeing the world with fresh eyes would see even the most mundane things as new and exciting. I think that's a nice theme for Gposes, and a convenient way to make me slow down and look around more. #Gpose | #Viera

It's really got to be Adam Jensen, for the whole "Almost died, got extensive life-saving cybernetics implanted without consent, has to come to terms with it" thing. Which is similar to her story.

Fulgur is a shard of Brynja, so I assume that anything that would pull Brynja's soul through a portal, or whatever, would also yoink Fulgur's. Since it's basically the same soul, but thinner.

010

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 21/09/2026

Brynja didn't really want her face on anything, but because she didn't do anything about it, she appears on all sorts of Merch, both official and unofficial. Fulgur collects it all, but is especially fond of the figurines. #Gposers | #Viera

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 21/09/2026

Brynja's (left) twitches a little when she's agitated or excited. Fulgur (right) lost hers (among other things) in an accident, but she wears a fake one that is at least expressive in its shape (and her ability to take it off and throw it at people to make a point).

Fulgur wears a wig, in part to complete her look. But, mostly it's to cover up her missing ear and hair, and the electrope.

020

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 18/09/2026

Brynja is ~31, and looks about that old. Fulgur is ~27, and looks much younger. Her growth was blocked to prevent her outgrowing her electrope implants, and she uses illusion technology to hide the scars on her face and body (without the illusions, she looks more like her age, but still small).

010

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 14/09/2026

Brynja has a gentle stillness when she's working, rarely expressing what she's feeling, but still coming across as friendly. On her own time, she's more open, but still reserved. Fulgur is either hyperactively giving everything 110%, or is utterly cold and focused. There's very little in between.

000

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 14/09/2026

Brynja is a Blue Mage that isn't limited by the spellbook, essentially allowing her to imitate any spell/ability (though, lesser versions, because of limited aether).

010

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 14/09/2026

An important part of Fulgur, for me, was to be able to pose her without her prosthetics. It's tricky, and a little janky, but I'm really happy about how it turned out. #Gpose | #Viera

Brynja (left) would pick somewhere easy, because if the stakes aren't high then winning doesn't matter. Fulgur (right) can turn invisible, so she's not hiding, she's stalking the seekers like The Predator.

That would be 1.5 metric tons of mixed corn (bird feed). Evercold is going to have to wait, because Brynja's going to have to deal with Evercorn first.

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 11/09/2026

Brynja wouldn't even try, there's too much going on that word. Fulgur would pronounce it "wooster sauce", because that's just how it's pronounced in England.

010

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 05/09/2026

Fulgur is about 5'5", which is really small for a Viera, and also smaller than every other race (except Lalafels). She was seriously injured when she was younger, which required a bunch of electrope prostheses, and her growth was restricted to prevent her outgrowing them.

000

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 04/09/2026

Fulgur quite literally runs on batteries. Her abilities, and prosthetics, are based on Electrope (which, as we know, has many uses). So there's a lot she *can* do with it, but it all relies on stored aether, which isn't something she can easily top up "on the go"

Brynja: *Stares blankly* Fulgur: "fivethreeohaybetepeninesixdashc" (god help anyone that needs to note that down). On the bonus question, I imagine they probably have something more like the WW1-era phonetic alphabets ("able baker charlie duff" kinda deal - less optimised, more cultural)

010

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 24/08/2026

Fulgur can pick up Brynja, although the size difference makes it a disaster waiting to happen. Brynja can quite easily pick up Fulgur, even though all the metal makes her pretty heavy.

000

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 24/08/2026

Brynja leaves the problem-solving to others. Unless the solution to the problem is violence, then people tend to look to her. Fulgur is very good at it, but will usually keep the solution to herself, unless asked, because she prefers to downplay the advantages of her augmentations.

000

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 21/08/2026

Brynja would never state a favourite, and she doesn't really have a single favourite, she enjoys strong flavours (bitter/sour/spicy). Fulgur's still experiencing the world's flavours for the first time, so her favourite is usually the last thing she tasted.

Fulgur & Brynja | Melty Heatwave Arc @fulgur.etheirys.social · 20/08/2026

Brynja's accent is more Icelandic (like Lyna in ShB). Fulgur's is quite generically "English", until she gets stressed, where it gets a bit West London in accent/dialect (innit).
