just in case the Arizona bill fucks things up, I have successfully downloaded all my e6 favs using Grabber (the text files containing the tags and such are 7.57mb) It took about 5 hours to get 'em all - 52.8 GB! shoutouts to external SSDs :3

Explanation (text form in the alt text) I didn’t look for any in particular ahahah, I just wanted to find some of the classics :3

so basically i downloaded an archive consisting of every flash file uploaded to e621 up until mid 2021. The problem is, each file is named its md5 hash (basically meaning the title is meaningless to humans). To allow myself to search for specific animations without having to guess and pray, I developed a small little script that lets me input the tags i'm looking for, and optionally the order in which they should appear (based on either score or number of favorites)

e621 itself still technically hosts them, but every online implementation of flash player that currently exists is prone to bugs and runs slowly, so this was the best way to get the files to play at full speed while still allowing me some way of figuring out what each of them are.

Gartic Phone's "Exquisite Corpse" mode is an interesting one The first one turned out better than I could have ever hoped for, and the second one I wasn't even responsible for it was just miraculous that everything just aligned perfectly. I recall everyone going like "how the fuck-" lmaooo~
