I was bored of the void in the @resonite.com local home, so I decided to add some motivation to the mix! It simply just fetches a random quote from api.realinspire.live every time it loads, so every time I launch Resonite, I get a little more motivated! #resonite #vr

The "Local Home" world in the Resonite social VR platform which has been modified to display inspirational quotes.

The quote shown in the screenshot is by "Gustave Flaubert", and it reads "Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work."

TIL: Music Haptics on iOS is region locked! I tried using the feature on my iPhone, only to be met with “Music Haptics Unavailable” until I enabled a USA VPN, at which point it worked fine. Region locking an accessibility feature is quite the odd thing to do.

How on earth do people do reverse engineering for a living?! I'm currently trying to reverse engineer the Cricut Maker 3's communication protocol to make a FOSS alternative to Cricut Design Space, but all of these Bluetooth packets are total jibberish!! What do the bytes mean!?!?

This is extremely anti-consumer, and it's clear that they made no thought about the impact it would have on Linux users, because there's no error message when it fails! If you try enabling crossplay and it fails, it just sends you back to the main menu, no warning, no error, it just sends you back.

Hey! If you're thinking of buying Grounded 2 by @obsidian.net to play it via Linux or on a Steam Deck, don't bother. Microsoft pulled a Sony and is forcing Microsoft account logins via the Xbox app to use the game's crossplay features. No Xbox app, no crossplay.

I plan to later implement finger tracking for tracked controllers like the Valve Index controllers, once I can be bothered to wrap my head around OpenXR Hand Tracking, but for now, this is a good step! I'm going to bed now though, I stayed up way too late working on this :3
