This is my rescue dog . I’ve had her 9 weeks now . She was overlooked loads of times because of her size . But after 162 days in our local RSPCA (in the UK) she’s now got her forever home with me . So many other dogs still needing homes though , it’s so sad to see

Our dog wears a collar with “nervous” on it , so that’s helped a lot with stopping people and kids just coming up to stroke her . They do now (mostly) ask first

On #NationalDogDay , a time to remember my staffie Ruby who passed away in May , 10 weeks short of her 14th birthday. She was a remarkable dog. So loving and gentle and my rock during times of my mental health being bad . Miss her loads 💕🐾

Sad day … our little lady Ruby would have been 14 today. But she passed away 10 & 1/2 weeks ago. Really miss her loads . She had her favourite pup-cake a few days before she crossed the 🌈 bridge 💔💕🐾 dogs never live long enough

After losing our beautiful staffie in May aged 13rs 9 months , we have adopted this lovely girl from our local RSPCA. 162 days she had been overlooked because of her size. After a sad start to her life we have opened our home to her. A big gentle giant

An emotional day , picking up my beautiful little ladies ashes today . Upsetting at first but now surrounded by her pictures, her clay paw print , and her favourite rope toy , it feels like she’s back home . Can feel her presence. Weird to explain . Miss her so much 💞🐾🌈

Feeling heartbroken 💔 had to say goodbye to our staffie Ruby last night aged 13 yrs 9 & 1/2 months . I wondered why people posted about their dogs passing . But you can hear how others have coped , how much our grief is valid , how they aren’t”just dogs” they are FAMILY . RIP Ruby 💔🙏🏼🐾

I used to race to this tree and back to the path when I was at the play park with my Nan when I was about 5 or 6 years old ! Lovely to see how well it’s still doing today .

Beautiful boy ! Black dogs go grey so early too don’t they ? My staffie Ruby started getting more grey around her face when she was 7 ! She’s now 13 & 1/2 . But the old lady still loved her doggie Easter egg today

Had to take Ruby my 13 yr old staffie vets Sunday evening . She wasn’t eating , really lethargic , fever. Was so worried it would be something bad . At her age it’s hard not to think that. Thankfully anti sickness jab , bland food every few hours , and antibiotics she’s getting better. ❤️‍🩹

Our unexpected baby cockatiel chick is now 4 weeks 3 days old . Was warned it’s unlikely to survive without the proper nest box and correct temperature. But it’s made it ! So pleased ! I’m amazed just how quickly it’s grown . #cockatiels

My staffie Ruby will be 14 in August . She too is starting to slow down but still has little outbursts of energy and wants to play tug with her toys . She has arthritis in one of her back legs . We brought her a pup chair so she can still enjoy the beach . Hoping to use it more this year !

Unexpected hatchling ! My cockatiels egg hatched . I’ve had cockatiels for many years and no eggs have ever hatched. So this was a surprise ! Makeshift nest made , heat pad to help in there . Any other cockatiel owners had this happen? Hoping we’re doing as much as we can to help it !
