Been trying to sketch a wee bit more now I'm in better nick. Sketches from The Rite of Spring.

Alright I'm good. TBOH will get a release date once I can get my ducks in order. I've been tinkering with it more in the sudden delay period but there isn't much to do but tinker and organise and add extra sound effects et al. Should not be long.

Good lord I am bad at promoting the video game I have coming out in less than two weeks, I'm in a flow state making the damn thing. It's in good nick, should be reyt. Here's a fun one - here's what happens to a multi-page SVG if you just chuck it open in Gwenview

Despite the fact I have been working very hard I have not been posting! Shame on me. TBOH still on course for July 16 release. Here's some of my favourite TBOH blokes, at the run of it

Like 70% of the drawing for TBOH seen off now, making good progress for release. Was fond of this one.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 12/05/2026

Some more TBOH stuff. Drawings of water.

Quick look behind the scenes at the sketchwork underpinning The Bull of Heaven as it rattles on towards completion

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 21/04/2026

Successfully rebloomed the amaryllis I got 90% off at the posh garden centre last year because it had already died back to the bulb and christ alive the boy's a gillie mor. Feels like he should be paying rent.

Quick one. TBOH background sketch, I liked this one quite a bit.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 27/02/2026

Should have TBOH out in a couple of months max, very much in the last stretches now. Liked how this turned out.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 25/02/2026

Some more test work for TBOH, sketches of flowing water

011

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 23/02/2026

Quick brush test whilst I keep getting used to Krita. Eight squash, most blind.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 23/01/2026

Some very weathered print plates I found clearing out an old suitcase. 2018-19ish probably.

020

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 07/11/2025

Some test portraiture for The Bull of Heaven. All the backend stuff is done now so it's all drawing all the time, I should have something to actually post now.

022

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 10/10/2025

Haven't had much to post because I've been working on the back end of The Bull Of Heaven but here's some early Scheleirland sketches I found in an old notebook in my parent's attic. TBOH is mechanically almost finished and I'll be starting the painting soon, so things should pick up.

One for the crate diggers - absolutely incredible find at some random shopping centre stall when I went into town to get my new glasses.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 03/08/2025

I got a croissant cookie thinking it would be a cookie made of croissant dough or something but it turned out to be a croissant with a cookie welded to its back like a parasited insect. Good yes but a little unnerving.

Just transformed my snack. No big deal to a guy like me.

000

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 03/07/2025

Pair of old steel plate etchings, 2017ish I'd wager. These were just sketches, I had much easier access to ink and equipment back then. Press I was using back then was a great big steel thing from 1876, which I miss dearly.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 24/05/2025

The cat that stares at me through the back door is at it again. Can't fault him for having a hobby, I guess.

020

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 13/04/2025

Don't think I ever posted these here either. First sketch from life, Kobe, second quick digital self portrait.

010

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 13/04/2025

Been too busy with new gaff stuff to do much else so I've been dipping back into old work. Sketch from ferry from Fukuoka to Busan. Not very good because I was burning my last yen on beers and takoyaki from the vending machine thus was blind drunk. The sketch may be bad but the memories wonderful.

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 25/03/2025

Grown very dependant on the reduced counter at the garden centre through the forest. Treacherous route when its been raining, all muddy streams, ever worth it in the end.

010

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 16/03/2025

More etchings, 2018-19ish. I think these were on surplus copper I got for cheap.

010

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 10/03/2025

Another old steel plate etching that turned up in the house move. We're swimmin in em!

020

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 06/03/2025

Old etchings turning up by the boatload now all me things are out of storage and into the new gaff. Steel plate, I'd say 2018ish most likely.

020

Frank Siduri @fsdri.com · 07/02/2025

Bowl I made. Sadly I will never retrieve it because I made it at a pottery workshop me and my friend went to when I was visiting her on the continent. Well, it's enough for me that I had fun.

old work of mine I found on an old hard drive. I think this was at Lady Beck in leeds? this one got exhibited a few times, think it's currently in my parent's attic. doesn't feel like eight years ago. does feel like four or five, though.
