that's worked!
Screenshot of the above thread as it appears on @tkingfisher.com 's profile page. It shows 1/8, 7/8 and 8/8 - meaning the picture of a cute snek (snake) is hidden from people who don't want to see sneks

I saw this at @cymerafestival.co.uk and instantly thought of @premeemohamed.com and @tkingfisher.com By @pondi.bsky.social
Mug bearing the text "Official Member - Fungi Fanclub" above some cool illustrations of mushrooms. Below the picture, in smaller text, it reads "Certified Mycelial Experts Since 1996"

Depending on how far it gets, I've had some luck adding a script in "/usr/lib/systemd/system-shutdown/" as described in www.freedesktop.org/software/sys... - this works for some remote filesystem issues, for example

I don't know what positive conclusion I'm supposed to draw from this
I was well aware that large language models such as those that power ChatGPT can produce seemingly confident but sometimes incorrect statements, so I never equated its reliability with factual accuracy, but instead relied on the continuity and apparent stability of the workspace.

That phrasing isn't in bsky.app/profile/jemi... 's original article
Two-fifths of Britons said last year that they had not read a single book in the previous 12 months, according to YouGov. And, as has been noted many times before on both sides of the Atlantic, it is men who are reading the least — just 53 per cent had read any book over the previous year, compared with 66 per cent of women — both in overall numbers and specifically when it comes to fiction.

Screenshot of the text "5. The niece is winning" from Olivia Atwater's book "Small Miracles", which means nothing out of context but did make me genuinely laugh out loud in the street a moment ago

@vajra.me Can you guess by our display names what we read in book club last week? ;)
Picture of a discord voice channel. Two names are visible - "sparkling shit happens" and "CathalogusOfTheDelendaEstables", which are both from Vajra Chandrasekera's story "The Limner Wrings His Hands", which can be read at https://stateofmatter.in/blog/the-limner-wrings-his-hands/

Can you guess one of the stories my book club covered last week?
Screenshot of someone's discord display name: "this is fry, simplified", referencing Caroline M. Yoachim's short story "We Will Teach You How to Read | We Will Teach You How to Read"

Now Bluesky has pinned posts I guess I should re-create this. Proud to be the operator of the first webserver on the internet to send "GNU Terry Pratchett" in the overhead. Instructions for doing so are at www.reddit.com/r/discworld/...
Screenshot of a tweet from March the 12th, 2015. Tweet reads:

Modified our apache server to have a custom header called "X-Clacks-Overhead" with a value of "GNU Terry Pratchett" and links to an image (which will be linked in a reply to this post)

2024 is the year of the women in great hats
