So across my week and a bit in Toronto I've noticed how prominent Pride flags and inclusive messaging is. Hospitals fly the progress pride flag, random businesses have it in their window, places call out about being inclusive. Is Toronto super queer or has living in the UK in 2026 at the bar so low?

In love with the vibe of this East Chinatown, Toronto restaurant. I have seen aunties and uncles popping by for takeout, friends both old and young having a catch up, solo dinners and just proper Cantonese restaurant vibes. The BBQ/roast meats are absolutely delicious too.

As a granddaughter of a Chinese restaurant/takeaway queen (my Ah Ngin) I adore going to places like this when I travel.

Something about seeing my designs on a digivan really brings me joy. It was powerful putting this design together. RE: www.threads.com/@transsolidarityall…

Today is Andy Burnham’s first party conference speech as PM. We’ve taken your messages from the mass lobby on tour to Labour conference in Liverpool, with our friends at @transactualuk and @scottish_trans We aren’t going anywhere.

Thanks to everyone who recommended @understorytoronto on my Toronto post. I'm having my first cider (not the alcoholic type) with chai in it and it's super lovely.

Also any trans rights campaigners who fancy a bit of a yap and knowledge share with someone in the weeds of the fight in the UK. hmu.

So I've been in Toronto for nearly 90 hours. And I'm now looking for fun/cute/interesting things to do/see/hang out in. Locals send me your recommendations and hidden gems. Ideally queer friendly and reachable from Downtown.

The fact that an emergency service, the RNLI, has had to cease operations in Portsmouth is something that should be a national shame. The Government seems keen to label things as terrorism very quickly, will they do that here? Nope

Yesterday I and my fellow panellists on a panel were asked about what are forms of important care within the trans community that go beyond medical care. One panelist spoke about trans people feeding each other, I spoke about the power of the yap to combat isolation. What would include in this […]

When you're in charge of the Threads account and have been told you are not allowed to touch the Bluesky account but you sometimes accidentally open up the notifications on bluesky think you're in Threads and almost reply... This has been my entire missing.

"You’re feeding paper to a printer, and acting like you invented the press" - @vivllainous talking about the new Desigual collection and it's theme of questioning technology in a TikTok I just watched. Such an icon and an outstanding person to front this new campaign.

I really don't understand how anyone with a shred of humanity could write and publish something so horrible. For anyone who reads be warned as it's the Telegraph they make sure they attack trans people alongside disabled folks.

It took me a lot longer to recognise that I was not necessarily meant to be a boy but it's interesting to see this.

Watching this story in recent times for me is hitting a bit different after really stepping up my voluntary work with @transsolidarityalliance . Perhaps the part we played in our fight will be forgotten long before anyone thinks this current fight needs a film/theatre show... but the messages of […]

To my beloved trans sisters, brothers and siblings. Today is going to feel rough. Many of us have sat with this anxiety for over a year. I personally know how much it's eaten away at myself. I have felt terrified whether that be at work, being unemployed looking for work, at the pub, on date […]

The LinkedIn algorithm is so strange. (I mean it's generally a strange place). I posted a farewell post after 12 years at my former employer. And now it keeps recommending me other people's farewell posts 'based on activity". And not specifically connections just random people from all sorts of […]

I think it does show how we all must take protecting prides more seriously. LT+P bringing 150k people shows how big the team that runs it has made it. However, this year it felt like the march was more exposed to cars more than before. Protected by a single ribbon from oncoming traffic. A member […]

To ensure some positivity from the misdirection of funds raised off the back of trans people by cis-led organisations. Please share in this thread any gender affirming fundraisers that could use a boost.

NGL it was quite fun to create an alternative persona... Tempted to do this again in a less not-sure-it-will-be-awkward-to-explain way....

Day 2 of old tech at my dad's house. A PSP! I remember pre-ordering this and going to GAME at midnight only to realise I was not part of the initial allocation (didn't think to call up the day before to check).

A house near my dad's place is flying a high quality (like appliqué not printed) US flag... in particular the one used up until 1776. I kinda want to work out what the vibe is of the people living there is. (Are they American anglophiles? British people hosting a 4th July party and baiting their […]

It's really disappointing seeing slacktivism being so prevalent amongst organisations that my community is putting faith in to fight trans segregation. In 2026 Britain, I'd hope that we'd moved past like a "love is love"-style petitions and more towards direct political engagement. It's a great […]
